I was wondering a few things and wanted some feedback. I have the challenges already written for March. I'm working on April's.

How important are badges to you?
Do you want to earn more?

message 2: by Cyn (new)

Cyn | 97 comments I think collecting badges is fun and I would love to earn more :D

Thanks Cyn!

Claire | 345 comments I am just starting to collect them, but I think it is a great motivation to finish a challenge.

I have to confess I'm like a magpie and sometimes I join challenges only because I want the badge 😁

I'm not sure though what you mean with 'more badges', I like it how it is now, one badge for every challenge :)

Some groups give badges for everything - like each task - I think that's a lot especially doing this by myself.
One group is doing a Badge Lover's Challenge.

I guess no one noticed the bonus badges in the Titanic challenge.

Barb | 1896 comments Apparently I'm in the minority, but I don't really care about the badges. I rarely look at my badge thread, and it seems like a lot more work for the mods.

message 9: by Joann (new)

Joann It's nice to get them but not if lots of work for you.

fyi... I did notice the bonus ones in TItanic :)

Kat I like the badges. That's one reason I'm focusing more on this group's challenges rather than some of the others I'm a member of.

I don't think you need to add more badges . One per challenge is plenty. It's nice on the ones that have different levels: Gold, Silver, Bronze etc. though

I don't collect them either. It would seem weird to now that I'm the only mod.

I noticed in some groups they make the badges and the challenger is responsible for grabbing them and keeping track. That's ok if you know what to do.

BTW, I like making the badges. You can definitely tell which badges were early ones (that I made) AND you can tell Caroline's style vs. mine! Some of hers are so cute!

message 13: by Connie N. (new)

Connie N. | 3775 comments No, I don't care about the badges. I just like the satisfaction of finishing each challenge and don't find the badges to be a motivator. They just seem like something else to do, both as a mod and as a participant.
Perhaps it's because I do so many challenges at a time (and have completed sooo many over the past few years). I'm not sure what I'd do with so many after a while. Would I go back and look at them? Nah, I don't think so.

Debbie (debbiegray) | 386 comments I love the badges. When I realized we could earn badges and started doing more challenges. I know they are silly, but I love looking at them. They make me want to hit my goals.

You're welcome Johanna!

Barbara ★ | 3212 comments Some badges are so cute (or beautiful) that I have to have them. Though in all honestly, after the challenge is over, I don't go back and look at them.

I realize that having the Mods post badges for all members is time consuming. TLC is only one of two groups that I belong to that post the badges for the members. All the other groups expect you to snap them up yourself. This is much less work for the Mods.

I think one badge per challenge is more than enough "motivation" anything more is overkill and I'm too lazy (or busy depending on how you look at it) to take the time to grab them all.
