Silent Victim, by Caroline Mitchell.I read this book last night. It is fast-paced and engaging, and kept me awake until I finished it. It's similar to Gone Girl, except with this book, I knew how it would end before I was even halfway through. I was hoping for surprises at the end, but was disappointed. Still, reading Silent Victim was an entertaining way to spend the evening.
Dinner at the Center of the Earth, by Nathan EnglanderWonderful! I read it in a day because I couldn't put it down. So many different perspectives on terrorism, especially relative to Israel and Palestine. I love the use of time in the novel--how things change, people change--over the course of time. Slightly complex--one should have a working knowledge of the Israeli-Arab conflict. This book is sad, hopeful, funny, mysterious, suspenseful--all of these things in one fantastic read.
