Ooooh! I have this one. If I'm not too far behind on everything else I'm reading and if my writing isn't taking up all my time, I might try to squeeze this one in....

I'm planning on starting this one tonight! I had completely forgotten that I owned this (must've purchased it on sale at some point).
Chapter 7 (view spoiler)Chapter 10: I haven't been focusing much on the last couple of chapters but I'm going to try and be better... Also, (view spoiler)
Chapter 14 (view spoiler)Chapter 15 (view spoiler)
Chapter 16 (view spoiler)
Chapter 19 (view spoiler)
Finished! I enjoyed listening to it. I'm going to rate it 3 stars I think. It was okay for a retelling but nothing exceptional and it didn't have much chemistry between Beauty and the beast. I'm still happy I read it.
I just started. So far it seems like a standard Beauty and the Beast set up. At least the sisters are nice and they have a strong relationship. That is not true in many versions. I am at Chapter 3.
I finished. I really liked it right up until the ending and then it seemed to contradict itself and felt rushed. (view spoiler)

So when her father loses his fortune and moves Yeva and her sisters back to the outskirts of town, Yeva is secretly relieved. Out in the wilderness, there’s no pressure to make idle chatter with vapid baronessas…or to submit to marrying a wealthy gentleman. But Yeva’s father’s misfortune may have cost him his mind, and when he goes missing in the woods, Yeva sets her sights on one prey: the creature he’d been obsessively tracking just before his disappearance.
Deaf to her sisters’ protests, Yeva hunts this strange Beast back into his own territory—a cursed valley, a ruined castle, and a world of creatures that Yeva’s only heard about in fairy tales. A world that can bring her ruin or salvation. Who will survive: the Beauty, or the Beast?
