I'll nominate Sea of Rust by C. Robert CargillI think it will make a fantastic sci-fi read. Big book. Breathtaking story.
Umm... Not sure if it's allowed... but, can I nominate my own hard scifi thriller, Intersection Man?
I like to nominate Dark Intelligence by Neal Asher. I've been thinking about giving this one a go soon myself.

There's no problem in anyone nominating their own novels/anthologies. :)

Hari wrote: "Umm... Not sure if it's allowed... but, can I nominate my own hard scifi thriller, Intersection Man?"I'll second Intersection Man. The description gripped me right away. It sounds like it would make a brilliant movie too.
Damon wrote: "How about The Forever War"That's a good call, Damon. It's been a while since I last read it. I think a reread is long overdue. I'll second it.
It has been an age since I read it, but Ken Grimwood's REPLAY would make a brilliant group read.Replay
I will second The Forever War by Joe Haldeman.
I place in nomination Solaris by Stanisław Lem. A relatively short novel about what worlds might be able to do individuals who have their own baggage that comes inside their subconscienceness. Polish author, was a movie starring George Clooney.

I will second Solaris by Stanislaw Lem. I love that book and the wonderful 1972 film version. I can read Lem until the cybernetic cows come home.
I've set up the poll for choosing our two group reads for February. It will go live at 12:01 a.m. GMT (Feb 6th) or 4:00 p.m. PST today (Feb 5th). The poll can be found here.
