Hello everyone! Buckle up for our longest book yet! My edition of The Winter Sea has just over 500 pages. But I'm not worried. The last Susanna Kearsley book I read was totally captivating and felt like a quick read. I'm hoping this one is the same!

Say hello and where you're reading from if you're joining in this month (February) for The Winter Sea!! Is it still winter where you are? Here in Virginia it is starting to feel pretty spring like, but we're supposed to get just a bit more snow before winter is officially over!

Shannon (thecozyteaplace) | 1 comments Hi there! I’m Shannon, from Boston, still snow on the ground here! I’m hoping to start the Winter Sea next week. I’m usually wary of readalong’s because...pressure!! I love how yours is set up though, Krista. I’m looking forward to discussing with everyone!

So glad you're here Shannon! I can't wait to dive into this one!

Vonda Hi! I'm Vonda from northeastern Indiana. Yes, it is still winter here. This morning the sun was shining brightly through the east bedroom window, and at the same time I could see snow blowing by from the west through the south bedroom window. It's supposed to snow more today and tomorrow. It's Indiana.

I like Susanna Kearsley. I read The Winter Sea a couple of years ago and loved it. It will be fun to read it again and join in the discussion.

Wendy (wmaresca) Hi I am here have had this book on my book shelf for atleast a year. Looking forward to reading with everyone. Thinking of starting a few chapters tonight. Freezing here in upstate NY plan to sit next to fire with a cup of tea and enjoy.

Cassie | 37 comments Winter here but it's been a strange one! We were bitterly cold in January - more so than normal and we haven't really had snow yet...just a dusting. It was in the low 70s early this week but it's back down now.

My copy of the book and audiobook is ready at the library so I'll grab it in the next day or so and get started -- glad you mentioned how long it was!

Welcome, Cassie! I can't wait to hear what you think of the audiobook. It's not on Hoopla. I should check Overdrive too. I love hearing Scottish brogue instead of trying to read it!

Vonda Thanks, Krista! I found your booktube yesterday and saw The Winter Sea, and thought I need to join this group!

You always see new things on rereading. I hope to get started in the next day or so. :)

Glad you're here this month, Leslie! I hope you enjoy Winter Sea! I still have to write all my thoughts in the last discussion thread, but I really enjoyed this one for the most part.

So glad you'll be reading with us this month, Jan! Welcome! I hope you like this story. It's a bit chunky, but I found the pacing to be pretty quick.

Amber Eats Books (ambereatsbooks) | 12 comments I’m excited to be starting this book today. I love the cover! This will be my first Susanna Kearsley. I’ve heard nothing but good things about her writing. Im hoping that holds true :)
