Hey guys!!! It's so crazy that we're already into the second month of 2018! I thought it would be a good idea to start thinking about the next four months of book selections. I personally loved our system of each moderator choosing a book so that we have plenty of time to get them, so I think it'll work well for now!

YAY! I agree. If anyone is struggling for Diverse books being released this year, I fond the most incredible blog post. It also shows the date of release so if it's the end of the month, we can consider using ir for the month after it's release date.

I am going to choose The Disturbed Girl's Dictionary by NoNieqa Ramos. I think it has an author of colour and the main character may also be of colour (I'm not sure what ethnicity). But it sounds good!

Don't judge me but I haven't read Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda... So should I read this first? I looked it up and think this is a companion book. But I want to read Simon before the movie comes out anyway... Should I read it before Leah on the Offbeat? Or not bother?

I haven't read Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda yet as well, but I do believe that we should read that before Leah on the Offbeat, just to avoid confusion and spoilers. We can even buddy read it Nicole!

I've been dying to read both omg!! I just have so many books on my tbr and am on a book buying ban (except for DiverseCity books of course haha!!)

Oh my gosh! Shall we just add it as a book for one of the months then? So Simon for one month then Becky, then Livs choice, then Ana's, then mine? Or any order? So this can be the choices for April to August?

I'm on a book buying ban too Ana and have already broke it! But don't want to break it again like I bought a series as a one off... haha But yeah same the only books I plan on buying (for the rest of the year hopefully) are the DiverseCity books!

And then Liv and Ana still need to choose a book right?

I haven't read Simon either and I reeeeeeaaaaally want to, so I DEFINITELY agree that that should be one of our books! And I'll have a look-ee loo through some other books and get back to you guys for my choice!
