We'll be reading Maya Angelou's autobiography throughout the month of February! Incorporating themes of gender and race, it's known as an inspiring, important text by a wonderful WOC. I'd love it if you joined us in reading it this month!

How is everyone getting on with the book? I've had a super busy month so far so am only around 30 pages in but it's great so far!

I'm now around 100 pages in and am finding the book harrowing and moving. I can't help but compare it to the fictional accounts of 'The Color Purple' whilst I'm reading it but the fact that Maya genuinely went through the things she describes is shocking.
