Play Book Tag discussion

A novella telling the story of a nameless narrator's scientific expedition to Antarctica. It's clear from early on that something horrible happened there and the narrator is trying to stop any further expeditions from heading to Antarctica. It takes awhile for the story to get going and there is a lot of boring scientific information in the first few chapters. Once something happened I found it creepy though not super scary. I did appreciate that the introduction stated it had details of the story so I didn't read it until after I finished the story. The book also contains a history of supernatural horror in fiction which wasn't very interesting.
