I think I enjoyed this one most of all. But what is the deal with people leaving their possessions to everyone BUT their family in this series? Jerks.
The last month of summer… Memories of childhood and perturbations of the present… The Kindly Ones is as hypnotizing as the previous books.
I really enjoyed book number six in the series. Quite surprised that much of it filled in areas we knew little about from previous books (family) and didn't push the story along as far i had guessed it would. Sad to see the departure of a favourite character but a few others came into the spotlight and charmed me.Widmerpool's great pride in his new position (and the fragile nature of it all) was very amusing .
Again surprised that major happenings happen off screen.
