Bloody Good Horror discussion

I don't know if I would call this a horror book, but it was weird. The way the author moved around in time was disorienting.

I read this when it first came out because I am a huge fan of Darnielle’s first novel, Wolf In White Van. I enjoyed this one but it was definitely different than what I was expecting based on the blurb. I don’t mind ambiguity but I think I wanted more answers. Enjoyed the writing.

I thought this one had such a good setup but then fell flat for me. It just wasn’t at all what I was expecting so that threw me off.
