Jennifer | 1 comments I'm trying to remember the title of a young adult book that is written in the style of a "Choose Your Own Adventure" book. It's a fantasy/romance about a girl named Ivey who becomes an apprentice to a wizard/sorcerer. She has two love interests - One is young apprentice wizard/sorcerer named Silvar and other is an exotic desert prince (can't remember his name).

I read this book when I was a teenager in the late 90s, but I believe the book is older than that. It might have been published in the 80s.

At first I thought the book was part of the HeartQuest "Pick a Path to Romance and Adventure" series or part of Rhondi Vilott's Dragontales series, but I'm starting to doubt that's the case. I've tracked down most of the titles for these two series and none of them have been the book I'm looking for. But I could be wrong.

I found one description that seems to match:
You are Ivee, peasant girl, whose greatest pleasure in life comes from your beautiful horse, Dowell. Then you learn that your stepfather plans to sell your horse and force you into marriage. Wanting more from life, you and your horse leave home to find adventure. Silvar is a young apprentice wizard, whose boyish charm affects your heart--much against your will. Because there is also the bold, handsome Prince Shar, lord of the desert tribe, whose eyes melt your heart.

Jennifer, Ayshe's suggestion of Lady of the Winds by Kate Novak looks promising. What do you think?
