I wouldn't call it the best book that I have ever read, but I recently read Hell House and it is my favorite horror novel.

Sumit Singla (sumitsingla) One of the very best that I've ever read is Macbeth with A Tale of Two Cities coming really close.

Morgan I can't decide what book is my favourite, it all depends on my mood. The most surprisingly enjoyable read that I had was The Birth House. Whenever someone is looking for something to read, it's my go to.

Morgan Once I finish re-reading A Song of Ice and Fire I'm moving onto HP.

HP series
Twilight series
Divergent Trilogy

A very much underrated children's fiction. I have read it atleast 6-7 times in my childhood and atleast 3-4 times as an adult. It is one of my comfort reads.
Come, Tell Me How You Live
Found it even better than her detective works. I have read it more than half a dozen times (lost count, actually)
Second Thoughts
Scary view of arranged marriage. A bitter coated pill rather than a sugar coated one.

Uday Kanth (udayk) | 53 comments The Harry Potter series, hands down from me.

But I do have to say no other book affected me the way Shutter Island did!

And Psmithy McSmith, thanks for introducing us to those books!! Added to my TBR!! :D

This was one of the most amazing books for me - It has shaken me up to the core and left in deep sorrow for a few days afterwards.

message 12: by Arianna (new)

Arianna (conlatestatralenuvole) ok for me it would probably be "pavilion of women" by Pearl S. Buck... not the best book ever but it's interesting and offers lots of topics to discuss..I think that all her books are enjoyable and interesting so, go for it!

Sarah Mck Loved IT by Stephen King as well Andrew, King has some awesome books out there. That said all time favourite book/series for the hardcore reader is by far in my opinion 'The Wheel of Time' series Robert Jordan.

Sarah Mck Have you read 'Needful Things' by King? Not grueling as much but certainly disturbing....in a delicious sort of way ;) It's my favourite
