I love the audio! I've listened to it so many times. This is probably always going to be my favorite Gaiman book, but I don't know if that would still be true if I read it now for the first time.
I had never read this, and I’m glad it was listed as a read as I probably wouldn’t have picked it up otherwise. Gaiman’s imagination creates some characters which you won’t forget! Mr. Croup and Mr. Vandemar are two of best villains of all time! They remind me of characters like the Joker from Batman...they are evil and interesting all at the same time! I also liked The Hunter, and the part of the book where the different characters were competing to be Door’s bodyguard was one of my favorite parts. The whole world created below is gritty and scary but you find yourself wanting to know more about it. I like how those who were there were those who had “slipped through the cracks”. After reading this, I will read American Gods sometime in the near future.
This is the book that made me like Neil Gaiman. I dnf American Gods. Didn't realize this was a Gaiman book when I picked it from the group bookshelf (I needed a green book). Loved it. Plus I read it right before I went to London and I kept wondering about a life below the streets when i was there!
