Hey Losers,

Could you possibly start a King's Dominion Folder where we could start a topic for each separate book and all the constant readers/listeners could list any findings?

That would be great. I catch a lot of these as reread these older books. It would be cool to have a place to track and compare notes with other readers.

Here's to hoping this question winds up in the next Bag of Bones. We all know that there are multiple King books we've read more than once. For me, it's a three-way tie between "It," "Pet Sematary," and "The Shining." However, I'm sure he's not the only author we read. Having recently just finished a re-read of my all-time favorite novel, "Lonesome Dove" by Larry McMurtry, I was wondering, what non-King novels have you read more than once? I'm always looking for recommendations, and would appreciate any suggestions.

Why do you refer to “they” when discussing King’s writing? I’m always left wondering if you are referring to King and his editor, if it’s something that’s done by writers, or if (God forbid) you’ve decided King himself is more than “he”.

OMG. Yes, this!! Drives me crazy every time. My theory is they're used to discussing movies, which is more of a collaboration among various filmmakers. So for movies, "they" makes sense... But since King writes these books solo, I consider it solely his voice and creativity.

What are you referring to?

When you’re discussing the book you frequently say, for example, “I don’t know why they...” when more accurately it would be “I don’t know why he...” because you’re referring to the author.

I’ve been listening since day one and I have never noticed anyone refer to King as they in lieu of he or him. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I’ve listened since day one and have yet to hear that.

In response to “they”, none of us were aware that we were doing it “frequently.” We’ll be more aware in the future. Let’s move on.

And I’m back! I think I know what’s going on...

People (not just the Losers), have taken up referring to “he” or “she” as “they” because it is gender-neutral. In our respective fields, we’ve worked with many individuals who are gender non-confirming, so a habit develops after a time.

Sorry if this doesn’t fit here, but since it’s goodreads I figured why the hell not? I’ve been searching for the Stefan Hutcheson comics that were brought up in Halloweenies, and noticed they’re primarily $50 and up. Were those ever released as a graphic novel or collection that might be more affordable. After hearing the description I’ve been dying to read them. Sorry again for the crossover. Love both pods, I’m looking forward what others you have in store in the future. Thanks!

I was also really interested in those Halloween comics but haven’t been able to find any affordable options. Would love to see if anyone has any ideas.

Just started reading the bill Hodges trilogy. At what point is it safe to start watching the tv show to avoid potential spoilers?

Hi, I am a listener from Scandinavia (hence the somewhat poor English I write). First of all; I love the podcast! It was fantastic for me to discover that there was a SK podcast (I have since discovered that there are several, and I have listened to a few of them. Many good things, but also some that I don't care that much for). I love that you have long episodes, with a really deep analysis of it all. But sometimes I feel that it is a kind of echo chamber, where you all agree on what is great, what is bad, what is stupid etc. I have several times heard you all say that a certain thing is stupid or bad, when I think it's not stupid at all. A particular passage that you all agree are bad I can often remember was good.
Also, sometimes the podcast spent too much time on things that really don't have anything to do with the specific book that is discussed, so I wish that the episodes could be more on the topic sometimes. And I must also say that a few of the episodes are spoiled by the laughing and talking in each others mouths. I am aware that since I am not a native English speaker it is harder for me to follow when you talk like that, but still... I think it was the episode where you talked about The Raft; I almost gave up.
But still, I love the podcast for all the analysis it gives me from all the books I have read. Good work!

At the beginning of IT: Chapter 2, there’s a child’s creepy giggle that plays over the WB and New Line title cards. I think it plays one more time during the movie. Am I crazy or was it a sound clip of Gage from Lambert’s Pet Sematary?!?

They are doing weekly podcasts on the tv shows and movies coming. I think they mentioned taking a break from books for most of the rest of the year. Except, they are jumping ahead to do Doctor Sleep around the movie launch.

I think they are doing Dr Sleep in October for the movie and then focus on Castle Rock and picking back up with the Wastelands in Dec or Jan
