((didnt see it until after i posted, sorry!))He quickly followed with an excited smile on his face.
Thya suddenly stopped, kneeling down to the earth and placing her hands on the ground. She examined the dirt and stood again. "We are here," she whispered, stepping carefully over to an odd mound on the ground.
He slowly followed and nodded. He looked at the mound and was tempted to nudge it with his toe but decided against it. He slowly looked around at the forest.
Thya kneeled again, caressing the mound and finally picking it up, as it was not a mound at all. It was an egg. A black one.
He stared at the egg with a smile, "Woah..." He whispered to himself. "It looks more like a wyvern egg than it does a dragon egg..." He mumbled as he talked to himself. He kneeled down next to her and smiled.
"I thought the same," Thya eyed him, "but it hatched with four legs, not too, and I expect this one to do the same. It is yours. We would not have found it if it was not meant for you."
"But you have three." He said, "How do we know it isnt yours?" He asked quietly.
"I do have three. They were found together. This cannot be mine, or else I would have found it the first time. If you do not think this is yours go out there alone. I guarantee you will find nothing."
"Sorry, I thought you found then separately so i was just thinking... Never mind." He mumbled in a small voice. He took the egg from her with a small smile.
Thya stood again. "Very well. Do you know what you must do?"
"Keep it warm and such." He mumbled as he stared happily at his egg.
Thya nodded. "Exactly. Is that all, or are you needing anything else?"
He nodded with a smile, "I think I'm fine." He said as he softly placed the egg into a padded pouch in his cloak.
"Then that is all. It should be no more than 12 weeks. If it hatches before that deadline, it will likely not survive. If it proceeds well beyond that, then it is stoned."
"Okay." He said with a nod and a smile as he slowly stood up. He took a step away from the mound and looked around again.
