after i read this book i loved john verdon and his brains lol actually its my first book by john verdon and i fucking want to watch his book anyway i still love him and books

He definitely is a more cerebral detective than many in the field.

I liked both this and the second book in the series (Shut Your Eyes Tight) but thought both had too much space devoted to side matters - like Gurney's friction-laden relationship with his wife - that slowed the stories down.

Still, I look forward to reading more in the series.

Maybe emulate his use of punctuation and grammar.
