Um... My turn!
And, and, and- how to say 'moth' in many different languages.
Hebrew: Ash, not English pronunciation, but with an 'ah' sound.
Japanese:蛾, or ga.
Russian: мотылек, or motylek.
Belarussian: матылёк, or matyliok.
French: mite
Mandarin: 蛾, or É.
And the most important and beautiful, pig latin: oth-may.
(Some may be wrong, I looked them up XD)
Omg! I love this ! I have a series of Moths I wanted to post, is it not possible to add photos if your posting from the app? If anyone knows help a non computer savvy fellow fan out ( it's shameful )Though the ones that are up are great!! Great thread. It made me laugh & smile... Not a whole lot of that going on lately so thanks again Splintered fan club... What a group of rad people . That includes you guys to, not just the characters @---@
Dahanci wrote: "Um... My turn!"Haha! Those are awesome. The moth on the bottom is my fave. He looks like he's either cleaning his face or snuggling down for the night (notice that I attributed it a HE pronoun, naturally... because it must be Morph being that adorable -- we'll just pretend the coloring isn't all wrong for him. Hehe)

Hey Clare! The way I put pics in is I upload them to photobucket (www.photobucket.com). When you put a picture there, it gives you choices of how to post it on websites, like links, HTML, etc... So I choose the HTML to post here in the comment box and it makes the picture show up.
Awesome! I'm heading over to Photobucket so I can share some of Morph's other looks, yes A.G., I agree that regardless of coloring or species if it's a moth it's name is Morph, he may be doing some undercover work... One NEVER completely knows what he's up to!It's actually Morpheus Week & Moths are just frontin' lol
Thanks for the tekki tricks :)

Okay, it's a new day, which means new moth pics!
There is apparently a blog entitled "f*** yeah, moths". This will be of much use to us.

A moth slammed into my brother's head while my family was camping last nite. Made me think of Morpheus!!!
Diane wrote: "I came across this image last night and loved it. Looks like it was posted by a papercrafter. I love that it has both the old caterpillar/Alice photo and a beautiful blue butterfly. Yeah, because then Veggie-girl over here couldn't eat or make any. Moth shaped cookies or cakes would be right up my alley though.
asdfghjkl missed a day hopefully nobody notices

That's for the 24th... I'll get 25 when I go to bed and wake up...
And why not other media? We have moth pics, now let's have... uh... Japanese songs about butterflies (which are pretty darn close to moths)?
IDK, felt the need to share this:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dgWmS...
It's a song called "Butterfly on (Your/My) Right Shoulder", most commonly translated as Butterfly on Your Right Shoulder.
Some translations are much debated, especially the first line of the chorus, which some have translated as "I kissed a butterfly on my right shoulder" or "A violet butterfly was in the corner of the room as we kissed" or even "A violet butterfly was on your shoulder when we kissed/in the corner of the room."
Also, warning, this song can be sexual. :3
All of these are so cool! @Diane, love the rainstorm reference. Hehe.@Dahanci,those embroidered moths are so pretty! Also, in that song, I wonder if "butterfly on your shoulder" is referring to a tattoo?

I like. Definitely like Morpheus. I also find it amusing that mite is that French word for moth.

O.O It's beautiful. I guess moths are going to be infiltrating my Tumblr blog. Well, it was multi-fandom anyway.
Diane wrote: "I came across this image last night and loved it. Looks like it was posted by a papercrafter. I love that it has both the old caterpillar/Alice photo and a beautiful blue butterfly. I guess I'm ..."I like it very much.
Elvina wrote: "Yeah, because then Veggie-girl over here couldn't eat or make any. The frosting actually took forever to mix to that dark.
Diane wrote: "Would you follow this handsome moth out into a rainstorm? :)http://fc07.deviantart.net/fs71/i/201..."
Ooooo O.O

Well if we're doing butterfly related songs, then we have to do this one. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FhfRc...

You know, if you substituted moth for butterfly, both interpretations could fit, because Morpheus walked in while Alyssa and Jeb were kissing, and Morpheus and Alyssa have kissed a couple times.
Diane wrote: "@Katie - those cookies sound yummy! And pretty, too. :)"Here's a pic of Katie's cookies: http://www.pinterest.com/pin/21068408...
They were cute and whimsical and looked very nummy. :)

Good point... Japan always has tons of metaphors :S
And thanks Katie- either one technically works, I have no idea, I just love the song <3
ARGH I want those cookies!
I suppose now I have to atone for the sin of missing two days...
And three more!
And random non-picture thing of the day is... Er...
Facts!
Apparently some moths do not have mouths, which leads me to believe Morpheus is of the rare kind that has tobacco-tasting mouths ;)
Diane wrote: "A poem from my childhood - my mom had the book, Archy and Mehitabel. I seriously need to revisit that book - I'd probably understand it much better now. A.G. wrote: "@Dahanci, interesting moth factoid. :D"Thank you!
I'm falling more in love with Moth Week the closer it gets to its end :(

Or, you can upload it off your computer/phone to the photo section on here: https://www.goodreads.com/photo/group.... Just look for the link on the right hand side bar that says "add more photos."
