Isabel Baldree Just joined and wanted to say hello. I'm actually someone who hasn't had the time to read books for ages (I work full-time and have been a part-time screenwriter forEVER) I've been developing romance themes for some film ideas, but working in Hollywood is too stressful for me. I want my life to be more calm than this kind of work allows because of extreme deadlines and endless notes. I'm currently finishing up a project with a producer and I've decided it's going to be my last one. I want to dive into a luxurious time of reading clean romance and eventually writing novels in this category. I'm so glad this group exists and I'm looking forward to getting to know you.

Darcy Flynn (darcyflynn) | 59 comments Welcome, Isabel! Yes, Hollywood can be a stressful environment. My son is a young producer/director there and is now visiting us in Nashville for a long break from the madness! I think he has a love/hate relationship with it. LOL
Looking forward to getting to know you, too!

Isabel Baldree Hi Darcy! The one advantage your son probably has over me is YOUTH. I could handle the stress of Hollywood when I was younger, but at 55, it's just all too much. I wish your son lots of success out here! I'm still working on a project and probably will be for the next few months as a director is brought on board, but will start reading in between and bring myself that peaceful feeling I've been longing for. <3
