So I've been thinking a lot lately about the kinds of books that I read. Obviously some genres I read a lot more than others so I'd be more okay with having a lot in one genre and not another. (ie more Fantasy series vs SciFi series because I read a lot more Fantasy) So here's my genre breakdown as of February 2018.

I see you have read the first Mercy Thompson. If you havdn't read her alpha and omega series. I suggest reading them together.

I discovered the Mercyverse timeline on Briggs' website and really enjoyed reading them in order as things happen in one series that are alluded to in the other.

I love romance books and will read contemporary or historical and so made a list of the authors you mentioned in the romance section. I read the Courtney Milan book we had in the group read and I really enjoyed it.

That's such an awesome resource! Thank you! Do you feel like the novellas are necessary to the story? I may skip all of those. I had no idea that the 2 series were tied together like that.

Oh, awesome! From the ongoing series on my list I didn't really like Elizabeth Hoyt, Anna Cambell, Lenora Bell, Eva Leigh, or Maya Rodale. I just like giving authors multiple authors before I completely cut them from my list. But off of my first impressions I wasn't impressed.

I still haven't gotten to our group books for the month! Yikes! But I'm so glad you liked it!!

No the short stories (there are no novellas), aren't necessary as such but they do round out the world. From memory they are all in Shifting Shadows: Stories from the World of Mercy Thompson - I didn't read the ones set before Moon Called.

Okay, good! Thank you so much! I think I'll skip all the short stories for now and maybe go back to them if I end up falling in love with the world.
