Ditto. I don't think Sarah would've been able to fight him off for long. And I loved that Mrs. Elworth and her frying pan came to the rescue.
I was very glad to see Mrs. Ellsworth as a defender of her neighbor! In such a dire situation, there was a smile on my face with that frying pan.
Any other book it would've been Frank to the rescue...which is what makes it that much better that it was Mrs. Ellworth instead. And she was prepared to hit him again to keep him from regaining consciousness before the police arrived. lol
