Library
Alexia jumped. Someone else was in the library. She hadn't noticed. That was normal, though, because Alexia could get so immersed in a book she would hardly remember to breathe. She looked around. "Did- did someone say something?" she asked aloud. Alexia spotted a shape sitting down at one of the table. She hadn't noticed before since it was quite dark in the library. She made her way over and realized the figure was a girl, reading Alice in Wonderland. Maybe that was her story.
"Hi," Alexia said, trying to be quiet. "Have you read that before?"
It was a girl her age. Okay. She could cope with that.Of course, when the girl mentioned the book, her mind went blank.
It took a while to control the hate before she broke into a forced smile.
"Yes, I love it," she smiled, the sarcasm too strong to contain. "Well. I hate it. It's my mother's Utopia, not mine. I guess I would hate wherever I landed. It's too full of muchness, life is."
Alexia nodded. Muchness. She'd never heard that before. "I tried to read it. Too confusing for me." She reached up for her necklace nervously, but lowered her hand. She had a bad habit of playing with whatever jewelry she had on. Obviously this girl had had her fair share of hardships, and Alexia knew how some people hated pity.
"What is your Utopia, then?" she asked.
((That's okay. Can we carry on tomorrow maybe?))Lavender glanced, curious, at the girl near her.
"Confusing is right. Not to say it isn't genius. But it's confusing. To think, my mother's life: immortalized on page. It kind of disgusts me. It's her secret land, not everyone elses. Kind of ridiculous. She's Alice by the way. My mother."
She watched the girl carefully, her nervousness showed through, by the way she almost played with her necklace, and just as Lavender Blue thought about breaking the silence, the girl spoke.
"My Utopia?" That surprised her no end. "My mother, Oreos and me. That's the ideal world. No Father," she added bitterly, but then shrugged. "So who's your mother? Or father?"
There was a pause, before Lavender Blue finally did something she had never done before.
"My name's Lavender Blue Liddell. What's yours?"
((I'm back on now, sorry))Alexia nodded throughout the girl's speech, then spoke.
"My mother and father? Belle and Adam." She shrugged. "I guessed your mother was Alice. I'm sorry about your father, whatever happened to him. And my name's Alexia. Alexia Rose Silvestro. Nice to meet you." Alexia finished her speech and stood in silence for a bit. That was a lot of talking, by her standards. "So, i-if you don't mind me asking, what happened to your dad?"
((Oh great. But I'm late :) Sorry.))When the girl revealed her parents were Belle and Adam, Lavender smiled.
"Ah! Beauty and the Beast, right? Awesome." Surprisingly, Lavender Blue found she meant this. Belle must be an brilliant mum, as good as Alice, who was probably the best mother in the universe.
"Don't be sorry about my dad. He doesn't deserve anyone's sympathy. Anyway. Hi Alexia. Nice name."
The pause was soft and quite peaceful. It was pleasant to have a non awkward silence for a while.
Of course, Lavender had never expected the question about her father to pop up. When it was stuttered out, Lavender was at a loss for words. What was weird was that Alexia wasn't a forward, over confident girl: and if she was, Lavender would have probably decided to hate her there and then. But the question did demand an answer, and with her being so....nice...Lavender guess Alexia deserved a proper one.
"Oh. I hate him. He left my mum and me when I was...um...8. Yeah. On Christmas. He's...not a nice man."
Alexia nodded. "Well…" she mumbled, letting her sentence trail off. She suddenly had no words. "That… sucks. That really sucks." Alexia clapped her hand to her mouth. Wow. She had never been so blunt before. She decided to change the subject. "Have you ever heard that old song, that one that goes 'Lavender's blue, dilly dilly, Lavender's green'"? She asked. "When I was little I learned that song on the piano. Pretty catchy."
((Back!))It did suck. Lavender Blue eyed Alexia with interest.
"Oh don't worry," she assured her. "It did suck, you're right."
The obvious change of subject made her want to wince: because it was about that song. Damn. Why do all these things keep relating back to that....man. Lavender considered saying she loved that song, but it was a lie too big so she just bit her bottom lip.
"Yeah," Her voice dropped. "Extremely catchy. My theme tune. You play the piano? I really want to learn."
ANd laughed bitterly. Not her theme tune anymore.
((Sorry about the above drama! Her dad used to sing that song to Lavender Blue with the words changed a little! Does say on my form. :D))
((Oh, cool! I actually did learn that song on the piano when i was younger :P))Alexia hesitated. The way Lavender was acting- biting her lip, the bitterness in her voice, something was up. But Alexia didn't want to cause any more trouble- everything she said had been a disaster. So she went along with Lavender's last few sentences. "Yes, I played the piano, but then I just didn't find it very interesting, so I quit. I still know the notes and can play most of the songs in my piano books, but I haven't learned anything new for a while."
((Aw that's cool. I'm no good with musical instruments! Lavender is thought. :) ))Lavender was pleased they moved on to musical instruments.
"Oh, you should stick at it, it's very rewarding," smiled Lavender. "I play the violin, the flute and the acoustic guitar. I started with the flute, and then the guitar. I'm quite new to the violin. But I've been playing the flute and guitar for years."
She smiled and picked up a book near to her. This was red, with huge gold lettering:
"The History Of The Flute"
"It's a good book."
Alexia grinned. "Wow, I've always loved the sound of the flute," she said, "I tried to play it once… it didn't go well. I decided to stick to percussion after that." She turned to the book. "Hmm… The History of the Flute? It must be interesting, then?" With her hand, she tapped a few notes on the table: E, E, D, C, B, C, D, E… The beginning to "La Vie En Rose", her favorite song. It reminded her of her homeland, France.
((Sorry...))"La Vie En Rose? I like that song," Lavender smiled. "Good song. I play that on my violin sometimes."
There was a little pause.
"I like Greensleeves too...."
((hey, I'm on the app, sorry if my posts ate short))Alexia looked up and nodded, surprised. Lavender had picked that up instantly, and on an instrument she didn't even play! "You're good," she remarked, "You'd be a natural at piano."
((Sorry we need to use this space just ignore as))Jordan entered the library and stood just for a few seconds to admire this huge, wonderful space. Once that was over he went over to the librarian, an old man who can barley walk, he looked up and seeing Jordan smiled and asked "well hello, how are you today?" Jordan smiled and pointed his staff towards him "oh I am doing fine, how are you?" Keeping him distracted while he gathers magic into the staff. The man smiled and said "Oh I am fine, just tried from saying that I can't open up the forbidden section, that's all" Jordan's smile bordens and releasing the magic said to him "yeah that's always a bother, how about you give me the keys? I could look after them for you." The man looking at the staff said in a dreamily voice "yes that would be a good idea, here you go" handing him the keys to the forbidden section. Jordan smiled and said "now, why don't you forget you ever saw me and forget the keys exist till the morning? They will be on your chair in the morning" Jordan asked him pushing the staff closer. The old man said in a voice that sounded like he had no emotion "yes, I will forget" Jordan pulling the staff away said "good" stepping away and waited for his companion
Louise watched curious and slightly shocked. She felt guilty about the whole thing after that. Was it fair to control a poor old man's mind just for her own curiosity? She shuddered and tugged at Jordan's sleeve.
"Let's do this quickly...."
She walked into the restricted section and scanned the titles for anything that interested her.

Jordan nodded quickly and started to move but then stumbled finally using his staff as a stick to keep him self from falling.
Louise pulled out a few books. Tattered ones, which meant they were read a lot. Normally the ones that were read by many were the ones worth reading. But thats when she saw something odd. A book hidden behind two. Why?
She pulled it out and squinted in the darkness.
"What have we here..."
She pulled it out and squinted in the darkness.
"What have we here..."
Jordan still leaning over and getting pale saw that she found some thing head to her though the lies of books, barley able to move went to her and asked "what did you find?" In a weak voice
Louise looked over at him through her glasses.
"Are you okay? Should we go back?"
She placed her hand over his forehead. He wasn't running a fever.
"Are you okay? Should we go back?"
She placed her hand over his forehead. He wasn't running a fever.
Jordan shocked his head and smiled "I am fine, just that controlling people takes a lot of energy so I will usually get like this, if you want to see me get weak you should of seen me after a hypnotise a guard, though that is a story that I will tell later, thank you for your concern anyway though" Jordan said trying to get some energy back into him
Louise frowned. She could help him if she had the ingredients she needed to make a revival tonic but she didnt. Well, not at the moment.
"Why dont you just sit down. I'll watch out for anyone who comes by."
"Why dont you just sit down. I'll watch out for anyone who comes by."
Jordan sighed and said "fine, but what was in that book you found?" Jordan asked as he sat down on a stool
She shrugged as she flipped through the pages.
"Its in another language...an old one. Must be pretty important to be hidden behind other books. But it isnt that dusty...which means that its been used a few times."
She passed the book over to Jordan.
"Recognize anything?"

Jordan took one look at it and laughed "This must be important! It is the language of ancient Arabic, my father taught me how to read it and I can tell you right now that their are only 2 people outside of my family that I know of who could read this. And outside of that it has magic inside of it that makes even those who can read it see only old tales, though I can see a pattern, it says that if you read this by the full moon with a potion of fire and a fire bloom you will see what's inside this book, outside of that I can't tell you anything more" Jordan said colour returning to his check
Louise frowned at the pages of the book.
"Only fire?"
She was familiar with fire. Her mother said that every 'witch' was able to control all elements but they always had a dominant one. Her mother's was Earth. Louise's was fire. Curious how it was under the moon too!

Jordan nodded "the hard part comes from the fire bloom, I have some but they won't bloom for I would say a year, and also something to consider is that you have to think when this was written, though I don't do alchemy I would think their are several types of fire potions?" Jordan asked thinking of time periods in which the book could of been written
Louise smiled
"Several? Gosh there's dozens of them!"
She flipped through the book and felt her hands heat up. This normally happened when she got excited and for it to happen in the library wasnt a good thing. She tossed the book over to Jordan and watched her hands turn brighter and brighter as they warmed up.
"Damn it..."

Louise looked around frantically. There wasnt any water or ice nearby, why would there be? She pressed her hands against the cool window sill and almost felt her hands cool down. Almost.
Jordan seeing her panic lifted up the staff, he probably couldn't control her but it should at least help her calm down pointing the staff towards her he said in a smooth voice "calm down, put your hands out" putting as much power into it as possible
Louise did as she was told. Her hands were glowing...in the library...in the dark. Not something she wanted, especially when the whole idea of this 'sneaking out' thing was to NOT be caught, let alone set the whole place on fire.
((brb in 5-10 minutes))
((brb in 5-10 minutes))
((Okay))Jordan unsure how much this is helping said in a more commanding voice "stop your hands from glowing" putting as much power as possible
((BACCCCKKK))
Louise looked at him with a raised eyebrow. Her hands didnt stop glowing but the glow didnt increase either. She put her hands on a stickynote reminder on her book and watched it turn to ash.
"Damn it...okay...okay I got this."
She remembered the lessons taught by her mother about channeling 'water' when this kind of thing happened. Meaning, somehow, to replace her 'hot blood' with 'cold blood'.

Jordan smiled, even though the glow was still there he seemed to have calmed her down. Jordan put down his staff and ran though the forbidden section seeing if it had any books about sorcery.
Louise shut her eyes and breathed slowly until it stopped. She wasnt breathing and so her blood cooled. Her hands dimmed and she stayed like that for a while. A temporary corpse. Her body always reacted when it was in contact with an object that was related to fire.
Louise inhaled quickly and looked at him.
"Science and magic...something I learnt over time but not recommended."
She walked over and glared at the book.
"I think you should hold on to that...not me."
((A video game in which every time you die your injured limbs and body parts are replaced by machines and you slowly become less and less human until the point in which you have no human body parts left and you must decide whether you will continue to fight for humanity of which you have no connection left with - I READ THIS AND I JUST NEEDED TO TELL SOMEONE!!!))

Jordan nodded and picked up the book. Jordan then stopped and said to her "you could hold it before, why did it suddenly make your hands go like that?" Jordan asked intrested
Louise wiggled her fingers at him.
"Every decedent of magic can control the elements but has a forte in one and that specific element reacts with other stuff encrypted with that element. Basically, since mine is fire, I react with stuff related to fire and turn into a torch."

Jordan nodded "but what I don't understand is why you only did it After I told you it was related to fire before that you hold it fine" Jordan asked waiting for an answer
Louise shrugged.
"Sometimes it takes weeks, months. Depending on how strong it was. Once I touched one of my mother's potions and I became a two-legged bonfire in a matter of seconds. The stronger the connection, the faster I...well ya know"

((I'm actually going to go now!! shee ya later ^^))
Louise channeled her air magic to flip the pages of the book. Even though fire was her main element, her mother had trained her to control all four. She felt a headache as she did this but it was far better than becoming a human torch
Jordan looked at the pages and sighed "nothing new just some old tales my father told me as a child, I would guess that it was enchanted to prevent you from reading it unless you do the requirements." Jordan said getting up
Louise spun her head and faced Jordan, eye's turning amber. "Requirements?"
The book slammed shut when she stopped channelling air
The book slammed shut when she stopped channelling air
Jordan raised an eye brow "yeah the fire bloom and fire potion" Jordan said wondering what caused her to be so angry
Her eyes cooled down and her shoulders slummped.
"Oh...thats it? No ritual?"
"Oh...thats it? No ritual?"

She hated this book. She hated damn wonderland, with the sweet white rabbit and the riddling caterpillar and the yelling, frustrating Queen of Hearts. She hated how everyone loved it, loved the colours and the Hatter and the tea party with the crazy cakes. It disgusted her, that her mother's childhood was so much read, so much enjoyed.
Wonderland. What a messed up Utopia.
But still she read it. Read it because she loved her mother and hated her father. Even though no one was watching, she still wanted to prove that her father was forgotten. That her mother was the ones she loved.
Except someone was watching.
Lavender Blue raised her head.
"Hello?"
