I'm definitely reading Witchwood Crown! But I've also got the Otherland series as well.

Yeeees! I want to read Witchwood Crown, too! :) We could also do The Heart of What Was Lost, I heared it was a nice crossing between the two series :)

Yeah me and Chris were talking about doing those 2 books and since book 2 will be released in September I think it makes sense to start the new series later in the year so we can read book 2 when it comes out

I might start this early since I can’t wait to get into it

I’ve had a look through the book and I’ve noticed the typography of the book I have is different to the others as the text doesn’t take up the entire page as like the other books which is a bit annoying is it the same problem for you guys who got the paperback

Sooo, it's again, very quiet here :D Is anyone reading this at all?

I was a little busy the last weeks and only managed to read the first 10%, but I will have more time now and will hopefully finish the book this month ;)

Chapter 4
It's great to see Simon and his friends again :)
(view spoiler)[I like the way we join Simon as he became a knight,at first I don't realised what was going on and I thought his vigil was a normal one to keep an eye out dor enemies :)

I'm not sure how I feel about Miriamele... Of course she's in a though situation and I'm sorry for her but on the other hand it's her own fault as well. I disliked her behavior in the last book and how she fell for Aspitis. But I seems like she's on to something and I like that she want to fight and not sit around and wallow in self-pity. And I really like Gan Itai!

In the last book I was annoyed by the other female lead, Maegwin, as well... Maybe it will get better now, as Eolair is out of sight...

Oh and I'm very curious to learn more about Tiamak, Isgrimnur and Camaris/Ceallio's story :) (hide spoiler)]

I don't know if there's anyone still planing to do this as a Buddy Read? I will leave my thoughts anyway 😅

Chapter 13 (54%) (view spoiler)[ I like that we not only have the Fight Scenes at the Stone of Farewell, but also Tiamak, Miriamele & Co's POV :) It's way more interesting this way as reading about a Battle one Chapter after another.
I also really like Tiamak and how he and Miriamele carefully become friends. These Crab-Spider-Thingies sounds really creepy... I hope everything end well!

A lot of chapters ago (sadly I have no idea which one) there was one with Pryrates under the castle and he was talking witch Inch and there was the big wheel of a watermill, do you think that this has something to do with Simon's dream wheel? (hide spoiler)]

Just started and I am am so glad these books have recap in the beginning, because I would have felt lost right away ;-)

I'm done! :) I liked this ome better than the last one, but not as much as the first. It was solid 4.5 star read for me. (view spoiler)[Actually I find it a little hard to say much about the stoty... I liked the characters and the way it was told, but there's not much to talk about or theorise...
I'm very curious still what will happen to Miriamele and Simon next, how Josua and the others will resist against the three evil beings attacking the camp and to get to know Camaris story! And of course how everything end ;) (hide spoiler)]

Have I said how much I hate Aspitis! Miriamell is young and she was bored, I forgive her the attraction she felt for him in the last book... Now she is a victim, and since I am only on Ch 4, I really hope she finds a way to get out of this mess!

Part 1 ends with Chapter 26, in my edition it's called 'A present for the Queen', but I'm reading the german copy, so it might have a different name. Does that help? Otherwise I could give you a really vague and spoiler-free description what happened on the last page?

Right I’ve read up to chapter 3 and I’m getting back into the swing of things especially with my favourite characters showing up

I don’t know about you but I really like Cadrach or whatever his name is since he is still one of the most interesting characters I’ve seen and I feel really bad about him considering the circumstances

Simon is still a bit of a pessimist even after all that which is nice I’m like that as well

But guthwulf that’s one way to start the book I wonder how he is gonna play a part in all of this

I can’t wait to see where everyone will be going next O have an idea where but how is the question

That’s all for now I might read more tonight but overall I’m already excited

Ok so I'm not confident in my theory anymore in fact I forgotten I wrote about that part all together :) :)
Anyway halfway through chapter 6

(view spoiler)[I don't know why but I had a lot of feels when Josua said he wanted a daughter and it kind of shows how the world they live in is such a shitty place that the sons will face the sins of the father or parents and I don't know about you but I feel like that's a thing with these characters they became what they are because the actions of there parents I may be wrong this is the first time I've done this in quite a while so I'm a bit rusty

That dream road sequence was interesting having Tiamak come to the stone of farewell which is a bit of a predicament for him and it's nice that he reflects it but I'm hoping for a reunion with Miriamele soon and I wanna know who the feck is Cadrach or whoever he is and I'm itching to see if Miriamele manages to escape or not

I don't know about you despite being a bit loony at least Maegwin is getting shit done and it looks like we will be getting some retaliation soon hopefully (hide spoiler)]

It feels so good to be back but I am gonna take it easy so I don't lose it again but here is some of my favourite art I manage to find for this series which is not a lot





I love the first one since I think it catches how Simon is a young man as he is no longer a child and his face shows his remorse

The second is cover art but I get goosebumps looking at it since I know the artist takes scenes from the books and translates it to this and I can't wait to see how we get to here (please let that be Simon and Miriamele)

So, the battle at the Stone was awesome! I love how Siemon's character is developing! And I am right at the horrible creatures place and no one in the world could have ever made me go into that nest! Never! ๏︿๏●_●๏︿๏‹•.•›... Cadrach, brother, I understand!

I really like what you said about Josua and this special scene :)

The backround, the tower and how the second picture it's composited is great. But honestly I don't like the other two figures, I guess they are Aditu and Jiriki... My cover of part 1 showes a close-up of them and I don't like the way they look because I pictured them totally different. And why are they blond anyway? They should have white hair.

And I'm sure it's Simon and Miriamele on the other side, in the close-up you can see Simon's white curl.

I enjoyed it a lot, but I am terrified about that "gift"... I can't wait to see what happens next! Also, didn't you guys just roll your eyes at times about what a hormonal teenager Saemon is? Dude, the greatest is teaching you stuff and all you can think about is a chick? Maaaan, boys that age are lucky to be able to concentrate on anything, outside of sex... 😕

I really like Simon and I especially like that he isn't perfect but a little stupid from time to time, makes him more real and likeable in my opinion.
I'm not much into lovestorys but I actually like Miriamele and Simon together and for me, their romance isn't too much focused, it's more like a side-element of the story, I like it that way. Also I'm not under the impression that Simon only thinks about sex, for me his love seems far more innocent! :)

It's just his restlessness - he can't sleep, can't concentrate on anything, it's all about her😀. It is just very typical for teenagers, is all I was saying. But yeah, I like that the romance is only secondary to the story too.

Ok I'm very behind but I'm halfway now and I'm loving it
