the young twenty three year old male metahuman gazed out from the dock. the sea rocked waves beneath nixon's feet. the swayying of his boat beside the boardwalk brought him to a scene where he stood at the mast, calling orders to his crewmen. among the surface of the waters, the waves were relativly calm. but among the salty blue ocean, a unique lighter toned blue emerged. a glimmer. a distinct glimmer. scattered flashbacks emerged before anderson's hazy brown eyes of a moment he would never have forgotten. the moonlight was a distorted glimmer on the surface of the black water. nixon sat on one of the posts, one leg resting on the wooden planks, one off it. the blonde male wore a black button up shirt and tight black jeans that gave him a strong sex appeal that seemed to ooze off his body.

Starfire was out on a patrol of the city. She stopped by the docks to sit and look at the sky. The Tamaranian missed her home world a lot sometimes and looking up at the sky helped. She was so lost in her own thoughts that she didn't realize that she wasn't alone.

The blonde in all black glanced over at a flame haired female. Starfire. A soft smirk spread across his face. Not moving from where he leaned against the wooden post, the young metahuman whistled to the alien princess. "Star." He said, his voice neutral.

Starfire looked his direction and smiled. "Hello, Nix. How are you?" She stood, walked over to him and gave him a kiss. It had taken some time for her to get over Robin after he left but Nixon had almost immediately caught her attention when she first saw him. He was the reason that she had taken up the patrol around the docks. When they had first started dating it was hard for her to get time to come see him because Raven had the dock patrol. Something about his mysterious nature intrigued her and made her want to stay near him. She wanted to learn all there was to know about him.

((It may take me a little bit to get back to writing longer posts with her. But I'm working on it.))

From anyone's perspective, the mysterious yet handsome male wasn't quite one to look like he would express affection to everyone. There was a long time where people who lived around the dock referred to him as a recluse. He smiled softly, almost mistaken for a frown at the firey princess. "It's quiet here." He responded with a general shrug, tucking his hands in his pockets. His figure leaned against the wooden dock. He watched Star with his blue eyes, his expression darkneed by the poor lighting by the harbor.

She had learned that he didn't express emotions like everyone else but she knew how he felt. Or at least she thought she did. "It is quite peaceful," she responded and sat down next to him. She once again began looking at the sky. She was used to silence from him it gave her time to figure him out. She watched him from the corner of her eye. She saw that he was watching her and it made her blush.

Nixon nodded softly, his eyes observing her quietly. The princess was beautiful with bright orange skin and shining emerald green eyes. She was strong and wise yet naive, but Nixon didn't mind. He wondered if their powers were matched, since he often found himself too skilled for some of the criminals in Jump City. "Do you feel safe Starfire?" He asked.

"I do. Do you not?" Starfire looked at him. She had yet to see the limits of his powers. She got a mischievous smile on her face as she thought about hitting him with one of her starbolts.

Nixon shrugged. "The world is dangerous, but I am fine darling." he said with a partial smile of amusement. "I'm certain a princess like you could take on anyone." Noticing the unfamilar glint in her eye, he raised his brow in inquiry, "Something on your mind Star?"

"Just wondering how badly I'd get beat if we ever faced off." Starfire shook the thoughts from her head and stood up. "I take on anyone required of me but I cannot defeat all of them alone. That is why I'm still a part of the Teen Titans." She glanced around before returning her attention to Nixon. "Would you like to go do something for a little while?"

[ Seems a bit out of character but I don't mind. ]
Nixon's curiosity was peaked. The telepathic individual raised his brow once again at the alien princess. "Where to Starfire?" He asked his voice neutral and controlled. It was perhaps remarkable that a guy like him wasn't one to be quiet especially with his secretive nature. He shrugged his shoulders and kicked his foot off of the dock, his body a few centimeters from Starfire. His blue eyes studied her.

((Truth be told I'm having a really hard time with Starfire. I can't seem to get into her character anymore. So I decided to modify her a bit. She's been on earth long enough that she's bound to have had some changes to her personality and such. But I may end up giving her up and letting somebody else claim her.))
"Anywhere. If you could go absolutely anywhere right now where would you go Nix?" Starfire wanted to get away from the city. She wanted to see more of the world. She'd already seen Tokyo but she didn't like to think about it anymore.

((Oh ok, lemme know if that's so cuz I'm interested in her. I can help give u pointers if you want it, I've been rping her on other websites for a while.
She seems to be wiser than the rest of the titans and less eager to go to battle unless defending/protecting and or attacked. ))
"The caribbean," Nixon replied to the alien princess. "Would you want to go with me?" He asked, interested for her sudden question.

"I would love to join you." Starfire was eager to go somewhere while things seemed relatively peaceful in Jump City. She hadn't left the city in a long time.

The spiky haired blonde nodded his head softly and pushed off of the dock. He approached Starfire closely, his cheek grazing her ear just so. He snaked his fingers around hers and lead her away from the spot she was supposed to be patrolling.

Starfire smiled broadly as he lead her away. She had completely forgotten that she hadn't finished her patrol yet. But at that moment she couldn't bring herself to care. All she wanted was more time with Nix, more time to be normal or at the very least pretend to be. She hadn't asked her favorite question yet and decided now would be a good time. "Why me, Nix?" She had always asked the same question every time she saw him since the day they had first fallen for each other. And not because she was insecure about anything but because she loved to hear his responses. He had never given her some rehearsed speech. His response was different every time and she loved that. Sometimes he wouldn't answer right away but he always ended up giving a response at some point before they went their separate ways.

"Why not you Koriand'r" He asked, raising his gaze to hers. Being shorter than the taller princess, his eyes usually rested on her neck. His blue eyes shined under the golden light from above. "You're intelligent, not stupid." It was a pathetic thing to state. "The way you treat people - there is good in you." To explain this further, Nixon grasped Starfire's hand gently. She didn't pull away which he was relieved about. "Your hands, they are soft and gentle." It was a small observation but it meant the world to the man in terms of determining his feelings for Starfire. "You save people and you believe in sacrafice and second chances. Despite your sister's awful antics, you still love her, you may not nrespect her but deep down you love her. To look past someone's poor choices and choose to love them anyway, that means something." His eyes looked deeply into her own.

She smiled at the use of her real name. The way he said it always made her feel special. When others said it she felt like she was in trouble. And he was right. She did love her sister. And she always would. They were family after all. Nixon had managed to make her blush and she did her best to hide it behind her fiery red hair. She gave his hand a gentle squeeze and continued letting him lead the way.

Nixon returned the gentle squeeze, his soft hands enclasping her own. She had a natural heat in her body that warmed his hand. Being near the dock made him cold. "You know you have a beautiful body heat Starfire?" He asked, quirking his brow at her in a silly manner. Nixon had met starfire just a year ago and the two had grown fairly close since then. She was very sweet and had a gentle touch. Her kisses were the exact same way, which is why Nixon slithered his hand around her and pressed his lips against hers, feeling the warmth from her body pressed against his own.

Star laughed at his silliness. She was one of the few that got to see this side of him and she loved it. When he pulled her to him and kissed her she melted against him. He had that effect on her. He made her heart melt Everytime he looked at her with that look like she was the only person in the room she lost her train of thought. She kissed him back with a gentleness that, coming from anyone else, would have seemed hesitant. But that was how she was. Her version of a passionate kiss was exactly what they were doing now.

Nixon gentle cupped her waist, respectful. He kept his hands from roaming her body like a greek statue at a museum. She was to be honored and respected for all she was worth. Even with the clothes she was wearing, Nixon could still feel the heat radiating off of her body. Her passionate kisses were greated with the same intensity, his hands gently pulling her closer so that their bodies were pressed closer. Their exchange of affection was fierce and passion filled. It was quite lustful.

Star smiled against his lips. She didn't want this moment to end. She wished she didn't have to go back to the tower. Wished she could stay with him forever. Sure the Titans were her family but she felt at home with Nix. She had tried before to get him to come with her and join the Titans but he hadn't seemed interested. He felt cool to the touch compared to her body heat. They were like fire and ice but they worked so well together.

Nixon's tongue slipped from between his lips which were sealed with Starfire's. His gentle hand pressed agaisnt her bright orange toned skin. "Star," He breathed against her smile, his tongue gently grazing her lips. He tilted his head so he had better access to her. He wasn't the dominate type with the alien princess. "My princess," The mutant breathed, releasing his lips from hers, only to press them against her chin and down neck, expelling his cool breathe against her body.

She shuddered as a chill ran down her spine. "Nix," she breathed before taking a half a step back. She looked at him and smiled wider than before. "What happened to our trip?" she asked jokingly before once again leaning in to kiss him. She came across as the dominating personality but neither one of them really was.

The male chuckled against her lips, "Nothing Korriandr, we're just taking a detour." He pressed his soft lips against hers once more before releasing her and pulling her close for a long hug. Resting his chin on hers, he rested his forehead against her own. "Where to princess?" He asked with a glimmer.

She wrapped her arms around him and held him close as she thought. "I do not care. As long as I'm with you." She just wanted to get away while things were still somewhat peaceful.

Nixon smiled softly at the alien princess. "You're amazing Starfire. And kind. It's a relief to know someone so kind." He mentioned before planting a kiss on her forehead. He laughed before he spoke further, "Would you mine flying us to my house?"

She smiled and made no attempt to hide her blush as she answered his question, "Not at all." She lifted him up like he didn't weigh a thing before beginning to fly towards his house.

Nixon smiled softly when Starfire flew them to his house. Landing softly he let out a chuckle. "You're getting better at this everyday Starfire," he said, raising his hand to gently caress the pretty princess' cheek.

"Superhuman strength has its perks." She chuckled and gently leaned into his hand. "So what are we doing here today Nix?"

Nixon let his emerald eyes feast upon her body, "Nothing special." he admitted, hoping his small smile would make up for any miscommunication. He went silent. Then asked, "Kori, do you think I would make a good leader?" He asked.

"Of course you would. Why do you ask?" There wasn't a doubt in her mind that he'd make an excellent leader. But she had to wonder what kind of team he was looking to form and whether he would still be here in Jump City.

"I have considered making a group of mass Telepaths and others with mental abilites." He admitted, rubbing his neck, his emerald gaze now on the floor. He normally wasn't shy about this but it seemed like a childish idea. "I know you don't have any of these powers that I am searching in people to possess but I want you to be part of it Starfire. I want you in my group." This time he raised his eyes to meet hers.

Starfire thought about this. She had a duty to the Titans but if she joined Nixon then she could spend more time with him. She was torn. But ultimately she knew what she had to do. "I will join you. The Titans are slowly gaining new members they can do without me for awhile." She told herself that if the Titans placed a call to her asking for help then she would provide it. They would still be her friends after all.

Nixon's unexpressionable lips curled into a familar smile. It shortly broadened into a grin. "This is amazing Starfire." To express his appreciation for her, he quickly sealed the distance between them with a gentle kiss. Laying his lips against hers, he let his passion run quickly. His hands played with her hair before releasing. "I'm so excited Starfire." He stated.

Starfire laughed and smiled broadly. "I am too. I'll have to tell Nightwing. Where are we setting up headquarters?" She had started creating a mental checklist already. She had to be sure that she got all her affairs in order.

Nixon smiled gently at Starfire. "I appreciate it." He said, his voice gentle, illustrating his affection for it as well as his respect for the alien princess.

"So who else are you thinking of asking to join?" she asked curiously. She had a lot of questions but she wasn't sure how many answers he had.

"I need a telepath." Nixon stated neutrally. His voice didn't change. He looked at Starfire expecting another question. "I hope I can recruit a weather manipulater too."

"Raven has telepathy but she won't leave the Titans. Not without Superboy at least. But I can't think of any weather manipulaters other than Storm with the X-Men." Star wanted to help so she started thinking of everyone she could who might fit his requirements.

"I was thinking Psylocke. She's quite powerful." He admitted honestly, listing off the telepaths he knew of. "I have heard of a diabled mutant who is supposedly the most powerful telepath in the world but I doubt he'd join us." Nixon shrugged and let out a sigh. "Storm sounds like a stretch. I can approach her though." He offered as though Starfire was his co-leader. "I've already got the strongest alien in the universe." He said with a wink kissing her temple.

Star smiled at the kiss. She enjoyed being treated as a co-leader. "Psylocke would be perfect! I always forget about her. And thank you for the compliment Nix."

Nixon raised his brows to express a playful look. "Certainly my dear." He replied.

"What are we- sorry. What are you calling this group?" Star didn't want to overstep any boundaries. This group was his idea not hers. She reminded herself that she could help with decisions but she shouldn't just make them and take over.

"Well I wanted the most powerful heroes to be here, exlcuding myself. I was hoping the more telepathic users I can gather, as well as magic users, I was considering the name Prophecy." The way he said it was like a whisper. His blue eyes gleamed under the lights from above.

Star adored the color of his eyes and the way they seemed to glow in the right light. She nodded as she considered that name. "I like it. We'll be the Prophets for a better tomorrow." She giggled and studied his eyes some more. She knew it was a color that didn't exist in any box of crayons. It only seemed to exist in those windows to his soul.

Nixon chuckled at the idea. Being with Starfire was empowering. She had hope for a better future. Sometimes he considered her lucky coming from another planet. Born on earth and raised here, crime and violence was natural. People eventually got over it and became so used to it.

The alien princess cocked her head to the side just slightly. "Do you not believe that there is a better tomorrow?" She had always believed that things could get better.
