We're excited to announce another classic horror title as forthcoming: BURNT OFFERINGS (1973) by Robert Marasco, the basis for a cult classic film starring Karen Black and an acknowledged influence on Stephen King's The Shining. King has ranked it alongside Shirley Jackson's The Haunting of Hill House and Richard Matheson's Hell House as one of the best haunted house stories ever written. Tons more exciting releases and announcements on the way, so make sure to check back with us often on FB and Twitter!

As we make many more announcements soon you will see the headlines go from 'Coming Soon' to 'Later This Year' to 'Eventually Coming' and then to something along the lines of 'Help Me'

:)

Tom | 13 comments Loved this book. The scene with the chauffer and the coffin scared me to death. Movie was awesome too. How could you go wrong with Karen Black Oliver Reed and Bette Davis?

Char | 355 comments That chauffer was creepy as all get out.

Cathie (cathiebp2) Let me know when this releases!!! I have this on my TBR list for 2015! :)

Can't wait!!!

Definitely, Cathie!

Stephen Graham Jones is writing an introduction to the book and we should have it out (hopefully) by the beginning of February.

Cathie, wasn't it? I just finished it last week and I thought it killed. ;)

Cathie (cathiebp2) I saw the movie years ago. Hadn't known it was based off a book until a few years ago.

The movie stayed true to the book - the ending for both worked!!! No disappointments at ALL!

Same here. I only vaguely remembered the movie at first, (that chauffeur!!), but as I was reading a few other scenes did come back to me. I need to see that movie again.

Cathie (cathiebp2) I believe it was on cable a few months back on a weird time, like during the day and I forgot to dvr it.

Yes, that chauffeur was creepy, with those shades on! Karen Black was just awesome too, especially at the end!!!

Char | 355 comments Damn, I must have missed it! :( I'll have to do some kind of search and see if it's available On Demand or on Netflix or something.

Tom | 13 comments Oliver Reed, Karen Black and Bette Davis... You cant possibly go wrong!

Cathie (cathiebp2) You know, it may be on Netflix - I'll have to check if it dropped.

The movie and book were great!

I haven't seen the movie since I was a kid and my parents took me to the drive-in to see it. I must've been about 10 years old and had seen lots of horror movies by that time. However, this one REALLY scared me and that chauffeur has stayed in my mind all of the years since then.

Cathie (cathiebp2) Tom, yes great cast!

Cathie (cathiebp2) Too funny! I would've enjoyed seeing this at the drive-through.

Mine was The Fury. Can you imagine letting in 8-10 year-olds in the movie theaters?

Tom | 13 comments All of those scared me! I even had nightmares about Jaws and I didn't even live by an ocean!

Cathie (cathiebp2) Yep! Bit of nostalgia though...

Actually, Jaws was one of the movies that really scared me too. Not really a horror movie, but scary as hell.
