I have an idea for a new book game. similar to "First thing that comes to mind "but each entry has to be a book... It would be interesting to say why you made the connection ...unless it is really obvious... To make it a little more challenging I think there should be just one rule ...no posting of consecutive authors.... So if someone posts a book by Agatha Christie the next posting should NOT be an Agatha Christie book no matter what other connections there may be.

To summarise:Post a fiction or non fiction book that links in some way to the previous posting . Any connection is allowed except having the same author.
Feel free to comment on the connection especially if it is obscure or unusual.
Top tip....don't think too hard about it!
The Warden by Anthony Trollope
(spire=church=church warden)
We could have some very odd connections in this thread!

Actually guessing the connection is almost a game by itself! ;)The Watcher in the Shadows by Carlos Ruiz Zafón (do NOT read!)

!
The Wonderful Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum. Well, because of Dorothy, I just had to follow with this one (maybe even following the yellow brick road!)
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix by J.K. Rowling. .... The wizard connection obviously but why I chose that particular one.... Can't recall now....
Oryx and Crake by Margaret AtwoodThe new dystopia..... Like 1984 I feel Attwood's vision is terrifyingly close to reality but unlike 1984 she manages to inject humour into the story.
White Stallion of Lipizza by Marguerite Henry(For those unfamiliar with Airs Above the Ground, it features the trained horses of Lipizza)
Bone Girl by Annette Drake featuring a girl, a stallion and a trombone... I read this recently it's a gentle YA and I enjoyed it very much.
