Sorry to all the males in the group(if your reading this) but why is love so cruel? Who came up with Cruel Love? Why do we fall into this pit that we assume is 'love' when really we fall back out of it in days, months, years? Can somebody please tell me how we can just assume we are in love when really all we are in is lust? I am tired of falling so hard and then later pretending that i am still in love with that same person. When really all I want to do is bang their head into the concrete and tell them that I don't love them and that I would rather jump off a cliff then tell them that I LOVED them back.
But yet somehow in the books that we read they portray the characters as all warm and fuzzy at the end. IT always works out. It is just so sickening. For once i want to read a book where the main character is left solemn and sad at the end. Say that the boyfriends she was after end up going to some other girl with incredibly long limbs and a beautiful tanned bodice. Can anyone tell me of a book where this happens?
