Thank you for the opportunity. Little Gods has peaked my interest.

I don't have a blog but generally write short reviews here. Thanks again for looking out for Aussie Readers.
(I registered on the website but couldn't find a request button).

Like Marianne, I've also requested quite a few of these.
I was lucky enough to receive a copy of The Jade Lily when I won a copy of The Midsummer Garden earlier this year! :)
I love the sound of Eleanor's Secret, Little Gods and The Illumination of Ursula Flight especially. :)

Here's our first round of book giveaways for you as a replacement to the Goodreads giveaways - it's a WIP so we'll see how it goes for a couple of months and welcome any feedback.
Here's our first batch of books:
Little Gods - One we're really excited by, a beautiful Australian coming of age novel from Jenny Ackland about the mess of family life and innocence lost, with comparisons to Jasper Jones, Seven Little Australians & Cloudstreet.
The Jade Lily - a gorgeous tale of female friendship, hardship and courage, and for those who enjoyed Kirsty Manning's The Midsummer Garden there's more glorious descriptions of food and meticulously researched depictions of Shanghai life.
Girls at the Piano - a beautiful & brilliant memoir about how learning the piano shaped the lives of two women worlds and generations apart that will resonate for music lovers everywhere and for anyone who has tried to master the piano.
A Certain Light - in this unflinchingly honest and compassionate memoir Cynthia Banham asks the difficult questions about family, about survival, and fearlessly tells the stories that are never told.
Eleanor's Secret - an engrossing wartime mystery of past deceptions, family secrets and long-lasting love from Caroline Beecham, author of Maggie's Kitchen.
The Illumination of Ursula Flight - this is a charming, droll (and just a little bit bawdy) picaresque tale of one woman's coming of age both on and off the stage in seventeenth-century England.
Lovesome - from the award winning musician Sally Seltmann comes her tender, funny and romantic debut Lovesome, an offbeat and beguiling story of finding your own happiness.
