Mount TBR 2018 discussion

Well, I have 120 books in my owned-unread shelf, so apparently I desperately need to do this challenge :) I am definitely one who gets distracted by the glitz and glamor of the current year's new releases, and forgets about the many old-faithful books of yester-year, that were bought in 'best of intentions' excitement, and yet set-aside with a 'no time right now, and oh look there's another new book catching my attention that I just MUST buy and read first'. Haha! So, I LOVE this challenge, and I NEED this challenge!

OK, so this challenge has been really insightful for me to see just how few of my previously owned books I get around to reading. Out of the 112 books I've read so far this year (a personal record), only 5 books were owned as of Dec 31, 2017. Yikes!

Oh well, I've really enjoyed what I have been reading this year, so it's all good! It's fun to track this though, and I'll definitely keep trying to knock-off a few older ones along the way...

Hi Anne,
This challenge was insightful for me in much the same ways. I realized once I started participating why my bookshelves are always so stuffed...i tend to focus on the new or library books. The older ones end up piling up! Yet, in the end, as long as what's being read is enjoyed, it's all good! :-)
