Phil Treagus | 1 comments Hi guys, I was wondering if I could get your opinion on what you think the three best books by Stephen King are? I recently published a list, by asking some great authors like Ramsey Campbell and Kristi DeMeester: http://www.thereadinglists.com/best-b...

Do you think they got it right? Which would you include?

Hey Roger! We have another writer among us. Just don't flood the discussions with advertisements and we're copaceti!.

I have so many favorites, and they are so because each effected me in a different way.

I have to say my favorite journey was rereading the Dark Tower series with all the other books that tie in to it; a whole lifetime of eluding to the Dark Tower, the beams and ka. If you all are interested in getting an email of the Map to the Dark Tower, send me a private message here with your email address. It outlines quite a ride!

The Dark Series is my all-time favorite at this time in my life.

The Dark Tower Series Collection: The Gunslinger, The Drawing of the Three, The Waste Lands, Wizard and Glass, Wolves of the Calla, Song of Susannah, The Dark Tower, with The Wind Through the Keyhole adding a nice flash back to time with our favorite characters and a new tale.

Earlier years, I have nightmare memories of reading The Shining, The Stand and It, and just devouring anything King and his brethren wrote pertaining to horror and fantasy. Closest I ever came to feeling something stood up well to The Stand, is when I read Swan Song by Robert R. McCammon.

Later on: 11/22/63, The Green Mile: The Complete Serial Novel, The Talisman with a notable author Peter Straub, Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption: A Story from Different Seasons from an excellent book of four novellas called Different Seasons, Bag of Bones, The Bill Hodges Trilogy Boxed Set: Mr. Mercedes, Finders Keepers, and End of Watch, with a fourth added to the trilogy which I just finished listening to called The Outsider - the audiobook is awesome!

That's my SHORT LIST! lol

Don't ask a SK fan to choose! It's nigh on impossible!
