Alec's real skill is track-- his family moved to San Jose when he was a teenager, and when he found out his quick feet could take him to the Olympics, he spent all his time preparing for Team USA or Team Greece- which ever would take him. He got onto Team USA for London 2012 and won two gold medals and one silver, a near impossible feat for a first timer. In Rio 2016, he won three gold. He’s set to go to the next Olympics, but took a de-tour to the Final Rose due to a dare from his younger sister.

Six years ago, if you asked Lucas Adams where he'd be at age 26, he'd say the NBA All-Star game, playing with the best of the best basketball players in the world. Everyone would his name and the crowds would cheer when he sunk a three pointer or dunked despite being undersized. He would have mentioned his future signature shoe - a purple and gold combo with the letters "LA" embroidered on the heel. It would be a double play because those are his initials and they would be the initials of Los Angeles, where he was born and raised and where he was playing. Lucas might have mentioned the idea of having a beautiful wife and maybe a Lucas, Jr. on the way. Or a Lucia. Lucas always wanted to be a father. He never would have told you that he would be strapped down by an unforeseen heart condition that only came into light once he broke his leg in the NCAA Finals.
