Our book for May 2018 is All the Crooked Saints by Maggie Stiefvater.

Maggie Stiefvater is well-known for her previous young adult series, The Wolves of Mercy Falls and The Raven Cycle. This book nearly swept our staff voting, so we hope it's a good one!

Kristen | 166 comments So here is where I admit that I haven't really fallen in love with Maggie Stiefvater. Of course that's not to say that I dislike her, because I don't!

I gave both of her previous series a try but never finished them. I even tried to reread The Raven Boys so that I could give the second book a chance, but it never came to fruition. I still admit that I'm planning to give it a second (or third?) chance, because I'm stubborn like that.

While I didn't think that All the Crooked Saints sounded that interesting to me, I'm totally willing to give it a shot. Maybe because it's a standalone I'll like it much better. We'll have to see!

Christine | 142 comments I have not read any books by Maggie Stiefvater, nor heard much about them. I do not read a lot of fantasy or magical realism, but am interested in the premise. I am particularly curious about reading more about these "miracle-mad owls".

Mallory I've not read Maggie Stiefvater but I immediately liked the sound of it when I read the description - seems to be right up my alley.
