This month the theme surrounds young female characters who are struggling to overcome their past and the events that finally lead them to face their deepest secrets. I have only selected three books for this month as I would like us to begin our open discussions about the texts on April 23rd and end on the last day of the month.

The first book on the list is, "The Weight of Silence" by Heather Gudenkauf
The second book on the list is, "Sula" by Toni Morrison
The third book on the list is, "Cut" by Patricia McCormick

Please no spoilers in any comments until April 23rd when the goal end-date has been reached!

I have read and own "Cut" but it has been so long I can use a refresher. I am looking forward to reading all 3 of these texts.
