It is a queer (bisexual) story about a dating app addicted politicians embarking into an existential odyssey to save democracy from tinderpolitics.
Here is a quote from Dave Hutchinson (Europe in Autumn series etc.) about the book:
"Disco Sour is a hallucinatory trip through a future which feels just a phone-swipe away. Bastian Balthazar Bux, political operator in a Europe emerging transformed from a bitter civil war, sets out on a nightmare journey to prevent 'Ziggy' Zukowsky from destroying Democracy and possibly civlisation as well. Will he succeed? Will he ever learn to cope with romantic breakups? And will he ever find his phone? There are notes of Pynchon, Stross, Heller and Stephenson here, but this is very much Porcaro's book. It's wildly inventive, scarily plausible, and it's also very, very funny."
