Russell | 80 comments This one took me a while to get through but I am glad I did! Similar to Pretty in Ink, it’s not a book I would have picked up on my own but I have really enjoyed learning about the people behind the stories. I also found some new artist to follow and it made my Goodreads to-read list longer for sure. I hope the group will do more history of comics type books like this in the future. Maybe one that focuses on racial minority creators?

SuperKimbit | 59 comments I'd be interested in reading something like that. I'll have to try to find this one too.

Good suggestion, Russell! I got several months of polls queued up the other day but that's a good theme to add into the rotation. If you have any suggestions, feel free to DM them to me; I know I do have some on my TBR that would work, though.

SuperKimbit | 59 comments So I got this as an ILLO and unfortunately I just couldn't get into it. I think if my own library had it I would have tried to renew it and continue but I decided to just send it back when I didn't finish it.

I wish they used comics to tell their stories rather than having a written bio and example of their work. I ended up mostly just flipping through to see the names and examples of how the art changed over the years.

Absolutely agree. It would have been a more interesting and compelling read if they had.
