The Rithmatist discussion

For the March reading assignment I read the book The Rithmatist by Brandon Sanderson. I would give it five stars. The book is set in a world where rithmatists exist. Rithmatists are people who have been chosen by god to be granted the powers to animate chalk. The story follows Joel a non-rithmatist who goes to a rithmatic school because of his fathers contributions to it. Joel learns all that he can about rithmatics in attempt to try to become a rithmatist even though it is impossible. Joel takes a summer study with a rithmatic professor even when he is told he shouldn't. Then one of the Rithmatist student disappears mysteriously and Joel decides to try to find the culprit.
