Gone 4 a Read discussion

We have a bunch of great books on our bookshelf. Which book do you think we should read first?

I am very excited about this reading group! I have never been a fan of book clubs but the looseness of structure here is very appealing to me!
The Name of the Wind is not the typical genre that I read, but I am excited to give it a go!

Hi everyone! I live in California and love reading all sorts of books, but have never been part of a group, so I'm really looking forward to this!

Let's go with The Name of the Wind. I've had three different people recommend it to me, so I have high hopes!

We can read it for the month of August (and maybe September, depending on how long it takes, since this is a longish book). Everyone can can read at their own pace, and we'll have discussion threads for every ten chapters. If you're further ahead, make sure to check back for the discussions. You can write anything in the thread - questions, thoughts, predictions, whatever's on your mind!

I'll post the first thread for the book in the next week. Can't wait!

Hi Gone 4 Read Group,

My name is Linda and this is my last week living in Concord, NH. Next weekend I will embark on a bicycle tour and will become a nomad. I honestly do love adventures, both real life ones and ones in books. I am so excited to be part of a book group since I am moving away from my friends and family here in New England, and this will help me stay a bit connected.

I will not have a regular internet connection, but will post when I find wifi.

The Name of the Wind is rated so high (on Goodreads) and looks to be full of adventure on so that is a great choice for our first book! Thanks Deidre for picking that one!
