Alex Rider is a 14 year old boy who has lived with his uncle, Ian Rider, most of his life. He just recently learned that Ian was killed in a car crash, and if he had been wearing a seatbelt, he might still be alive. Alex is curious, because his uncle was always very strict about wearing a seatbelt. He knows something is up, when he goes home after his uncle's funeral, and a moving van is parked in front of his house. As he gets closer, it suddenly speeds away. He starts investigating what is going on, and before he knows it, he is getting involved in military training, secret agents, and a suspected plot against the Prime Minister of Great Britain. He learns that his uncle wasn’t the man he said he was. Stormrider is a fun book full of twists and turns that keeps you guessing at every turn.
I would definitely recommend this book, because it is full of action, and you can’t put it down, because you always want to know what happens next. For example, when Alex Rider gets involved in things he wishes he could get out of, you are always wanting to know how he is going to cope with his problems. He gets into tight situations and everytime he tries to fix things, it just gets worse and worse. Stormbreaker is a good read that provides hours of fun for everyone.
