I really liked it, and I read it pretty much in one sitting. I thought it was one of the stronger installments.I think that the fact that the main witness was a kid added to it. They mishandled him though. No protection, , or making him work with a sketch artist (Fiona ) sooner was costly. She could have gotten him to talk I think.
I liked the main characters, the (hopefully) upcoming romance between Travis and Callie, and I especially liked our Beta Hero.Because of the TSTL trope that occurs so often in this book, I thought less of the story overall. It could have been written in such a way that getting Cameron in the right place with people trained to help children was more of a focus, as Laura says above.
I’m with Charlene on this one. I liked the story, particularly the forensic analyses. But, I was really turned off by Brooke’s failure to respect the investigative roles. Too many TSTL moments.
