I’m also enjoying the mysterious nature so far! I thought I had seen the movie, but clearly I had it mixed up... which makes the story that much more interesting to me now.
56 pages in and I’m hooked! I love the way the story is told, through the point of view of the boys. Passages like this really speak to me (in reference to their parents): “We realized that the version of the world that they rendered for us was not the world they really believed in, and that for all their caretaking and bitching about crabgrass they didn’t give a damn about lawns.” (p. 52)
Ok, well I was going to pass on this one, but after reading a few reviews and your thoughts i am caving.I just put a hold on it at the library so should be ready for me this week! I will be back then.

I picked up the book from the library today and read about 50 pages. It is very interesting and I agree bizarre.
Another one I read sometime maybe last year. Short but good. It is quite different and odd though.

It definitely got mixed reactions from this group!
My library didnt even have it. I had to recommend it in order to actually read it.
This has been on my list for a long time and I just got it in the mail. I'll be reading it soon and then I'll check out all the comments from the group.
