I'm finishing off Julian which I started the end of March. Not sure yet what I'll read next.

I'm currently on We Have Always Lived in the Castle. In junior high I went on a huge Shirley Jackson kick, and I'm revisiting her work now that I'm an adult with a bit more perspective. I'm nearly halfway through this one, and it's just as good as I remember it being!
Hi - Just joined the group, looking for non-romance LGBT fiction. I've just finished reading Falling by Debbie Moon - sci-fi time-travel, small-press publisher - where the main character is in a lesbian relationship (of sorts) and gender-fluidity is depicted in supporting characters. I picked the book up purely because it looked interesting from a sci-fi angle, so the LGBT themes were a nice bonus!
I've finished 2 books since my last report: The Neutronium Alchemist by Dan Simmons book 2 of an epic Space Opera series. And The Long Season by Michael Vance Gurley and Gay romance between 2 professional hockey players in the roaring twenties.
I started book one of a Star Trek Deep Space Nine series: The Fall of Terok Nor by Judith and Garfield Reeves-Stevens

Taylor, I read We Have Always Lived in the Castle a year or so ago and thought it was fantastic. I'd just picked it up by chance at the library but I'm definitely going to read more of her work.I've just started I Was Told There'd Be Cake which was given to me by a friend. It wouldn't be my usual choice but it's ok.
I'm reading Boy Erased: A Memoir. I want to get this in before the film version starring Lucas Hedges & Nicole Kidman is released later this year.
Natasha (Diarist) wrote: "Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe by Benjamin Alire Sáenz."This was a really stirring YA LGBT novel. Recommended.
Clare wrote: "Taylor, I read We Have Always Lived in the Castle a year or so ago and thought it was fantastic. I'm now onto another Shirley Jackson novel, The Haunting of Hill House, and while I think I enjoyed We Have Always Lived in the Castle more, this one is still pretty good! It might be because I always have my gay goggles on, but I'm definitely seeing lesbian subtext between the two main characters, as well as in a few other areas of the book.

You see it in Hangsaman, too.
I'm reading The Accusation: Forbidden Stories from Inside North Korea by Bandi. Bandi is a name derived from the Korean word for "firefly", and is a pseudonym for the author who still lives in North Korea.
Just finished release by Patrick Ness which i really enjoyed. Now starting poor unfortunate soul by Serena Valentino.
Just finished We the Animals by Justin Torres. About to start The Clothesline Swing by Ahmad Danny Ramadan.

It's been made into a movie and is scheduled for release this August. Currently it's previewing at film festivals around the country. I hope to catch it in May at the Montclair (NJ) Film Festival.

O.O :D
I'm reading a new biography of AE Housman, A.E. Housman: Hero of the Hidden Life... and I find the author crashingly insensitive on Housman's (homo)sexuality. I go so far as to say borderline homophobe. I felt this way at 5% in the book. So that's a problem.
