Okay. This is the point wherein I am very interested in the book. Not quite but it's starting to be.

I just read that Evangeline has been chosen to marry Prince Cal but everybody saw it coming. I don't like Evangeline. Her attitude is frustrating me. (Just like Queen Elara.) 😒

Also, Mare's true identity was revealed. I didn't actually expect that because I thought she was just going to be that Red citizen who could do something extraordinary and she did. But that thing she did was way out of line for a Red. Because she isn't a Red. She never has been.

Because of this big reveal, Mare is adjusting, big time. She finds it hard to trust Silvers, even if it's just Maven or Cal. It kind of gets tiring and looks childish to me. Even if they reach out, she kind of backs away. That's what I don't like about this huge change.

I don't know which ship I should set sail. If it should be Mare and Maven or Mare and Cal. I side more on the Mare and Maven at the moment. But I think I'll shift midway with Mare and Cal.

I like Maven. He's such an adorable character and I think he just needs protecting but it seems that he doesn't need my help because he has his fireballs with him. 😂

Last thing. I find Lucas and Mare's friendship so cute. At first, they were enemies. Now, they are joking around and I hope they won't turn back to how they saw each other in the first place.

She surely is something! Sometimes she even feels like Queen Elara but no one can be on the same level like Elara like ever! She has a reputation!

Mare is a Red with powers! That had to have impact!
She hardly knows them and she has always hated Silvers! It's really difficult to trust them!

I guess I eventually came to terms with Maven and Mare (in this book mostly).

Yeah Maven! Hold on to how adorable he is!

And Lucas. He's a gem, isn't he?

I seem to not get enough of this book. It's starting to grow on me. 😅
