(( Want to start the roleplay?))
((Sure. When should we start? Is Natalie just joining BLA, are they just starting rooming, or have they roomed for a while?))
(( Maybe we could start when it's Natalie's first day and they both find out that they are rooming together.))
(( Sure.))
Summer finished making her bed when she glanced over at the other side of the room. Her roommate recently moved and it was weird having the room to herself. She'd always shared a room with someone even back home. She hoped that she'd get a roommate soon.
Summer finished making her bed when she glanced over at the other side of the room. Her roommate recently moved and it was weird having the room to herself. She'd always shared a room with someone even back home. She hoped that she'd get a roommate soon.
Natalie nervously walked up to her new dorm room, double checking she had the number correct. Once she was sure, she took a deep breath and knocked on the door to check if her roommate was there and ready for her to come in.
Summer heard a knock on the door. She knew that she wasn't planning on having any of her friends over so she wondered who was on the other side of the door. She walked towards the door knowing that opening it would be the only way to find out.
Natalie decided that her roommate must not be there yet, not hearing a response, and so she used her key to open the door. She put her key back in her pocket before looking up and started planning how she was going to put up the decorations she had brought with her, but as soon as she saw who was coming to answer the door, all thoughts of decorating abandoned her mind, "Summer?"
Summer walked over to the door and was just about to open it when she noticed a familiar face. The door was unlocked and slightly open. Summer opened it the rest of the way and realized who was in front of her.
"Natalie!" Summer exclaimed.
"Natalie!" Summer exclaimed.
"Summer!" Natalie repeated, dropping her bags to open her arms for a hug. "It's been so long! Summer! I hate to sound like Mom, but you look older!" She grinned.
Summer hugged Natalie before looking at her little sister. Her sister also looked older.
"What are you doing here?" Summer asked, still kind off in shock. "Are you here to visit because I don't have a roommate so you don't need to find special arrangements for a room."

Summer laughed delightedly, "I think I am your roommate! This is my room!" She leaned out of the hug to look at Summer's face. "Just like old times."
"That's amazing!" Summer exclaimed. This day was getting better and better. Not only was her sister going to the academy but she was also her roommate. She couldn't wait to tell her friends about this.
Natalie gave Summer another squeeze and then backed out of the hug to pick up her scattered luggage. She slid her arms into her backpack straps, grabbed her duffel bag, and then picked up her key with her free hand. Once she had everything, she looked back at Summer with a smile, "Did you take over the whole room or is there a side for me?"
Summer let her sister into the dorm room before closing the door behind her.
"Your side is right over here," Summer said as she led her sister over to her side. Although the room wasn't the large it didn't have any clutter. Summer's side was very neat and orderly and the other side was empty. She was happy though that it wasn't going to be empty anymore.

"Awesome," Natalie said, immediately dumping everything in her arms on the bed. "Love what you did to your side of the room. Is it okay if I put I'm some decorations on mine? I don't think they'll clash."
"Thanks and I don't mind. That side of the room is yours." Summer said as she walked over to her side and sat down on the edge of her bed.
"Yay!" Natalie exclaimed, riffling through her backpack and coming up with a pillowcase, blanket, and a few throw pillows which she proceeded to start putting on the bed. "So do you like BLA? Do you think I'll like it?"
"I really like it here. I've made so many great friends and all of the teachers are wonderful. I think you'll love it here." Summer replied. "If you want I can give you a tour of the school once you're a bit more settled in."
"I'd love a tour!" Natalie said eagerly, bouncing the pillow case up and down to get the pillow to slide in. "We can go now if you want. Decorating and unpacking can wait!"
“Are you sure? I don’t mind waiting.” Summer replied as she opened her backpack and pulled out a notebook. “I still have a bit of homework left.”
"Ok," Natalie said with a shrug. "I'm okay either way." She spread the blanket over the top sheet and starting tucking it in around the edges.
Summer put the notebook on her lap and pulled her pencil case out of her backpack. All of her school supplies where perfectly organized and she liked it that way. She took out her blue mechanical pencil and opened her notebook to the page that had the three leftover math problems she had to complete.
Natalie started humming to herself as she worked, but stopped when she realized it might bother Summer. She finished arranging the bed and stood on it, hanging the string of lights she had brought. She probably should have made the bed after she had stood on it.((Keep going with this or time skip?))
(( Why don't we keep going then and if we run out of ideas then we can time skip?))
Summer looked at the first problem. It wasn't a very hard equation but she knew that the problems always got harder to solve. She copied the problem onto a blank page in her notebook before she started to solve it.
Natalie finished hanging her lights and climbed down. Next, she pulled out a stylized "N" that she proceeded to attach to the wall above her bed with adhesive.
Summer was about to start solving the problem when she looked up to see Natalie putting something on her wall. Her room was already covered with lights and the clutter was starting to bother Summer.
"Do you need help decorating?" Summer asked.
"Do you need help decorating?" Summer asked.
"I don't think so," Natalie replied. "I was inspired by this photo online." She showed her a photo on her phone. "I'm almost done." She had already asked if it was okay if she put up decorations, but now she started to worry Summer would think they clashed.
Summer looked a the photo and noticed all of the small trinkets that were in the picture. She hoped that they wouldn't collect any dust but she knew that they probably would.
"It's nice," Summer replied. It was a nice room design but she knew that it wasn't her style. She was more of a minimalist then her sister.

Natalie quietly let out a sigh of relief. Her sister didn't seem too concerned about her design. She pulled out a white vase with fake pink flowers and placed it on her nightstand and surveyed her work with a smile, pleased. Her decorating was finished now, and all she had left to do was unpack. She switched to her duffel bag, which contained all of her clothing. The dresser had three large drawers, which should fit all of her clothing except the few dresses and skirts she had brought, which would hang in the closet.
Summer looked back down at her math problem again before she started to solve it. For once she was thankful that the problem wasn't very hard but despite that she still felt accomplished when she found the answer.
Natalie decided to sort her clothes by tops, bottoms, and other, and proceeded to do so, placing each item in the designated drawer. She didn't bother with folding anything.
After finishing the first problem Summer was immediately about to start the second when she decided to check and see if her sister was ready to go on the tour. She looked up to see her little sister shoving poor, helpless clothes into her drawer without folding them!
Natalie continued placing her clothes in the drawers. She did sort them in a way, such as shoving shorts on one side and pants on the other, but mainly didn't really care. She was too excited to find out more about BLA and go on a tour with her sister.
Summer was almost about to stop her sister from practically murdering her clothes and having to use the iron to revive them when she stopped herself. Her little sister wasn't so little anymore and if their parents trusted her to come here, it meant that she was responsible enough to take care of herself. Summer looked back down at the second equation, trying to clear her mind of unwanted thoughts.
((Summer sounds like my sister. Haha. I'm not a very neat person generally, but she is particular about everything being very neat.))Natalie didn't notice Summer's tension as she finished putting away her clothing in the drawers and moved on to the hangers, though she glanced over at her a few times, almost as if to make sure it was really her. Natalie was more careful with the hanger items because they were more important, like her school uniform and formal wear.
(( So far the relationship between the sisters is really fun to roleplay. I'm looking forward to their future interactions. I guess the girls really do act like sisters.))
Summer found the second problem to be more challenging then the first which she expected. She didn't let this new challenge drag her down though for she knew that she'd never met a problem she wasn't able to solve.

((It is fun. I wonder if/when their separate neatness policies will come to a head.. ;-) Natalie is very "don't want to bother them" and so she probably wouldn't bring anything up unless it was a real issue.))Natalie noticed that she was short a hanger for her things but she didn't mind too much. She took her uniform off its hangers and spread it on top of the dresser, placing her last item on the previously occupied hanger.
(( Summer would probably try her best not to bring it up but if I became a big issue for her she would.))
Summer started looking back at her other notes in her notebook to see if their was anything that could help her solve the problem. Her notes were all color coded by unit which made her notes from earlier that week easy to find.

((I guess we'll just have to wait and see then. Also, Summer is totally speaking me. I am a very organized person (just look at my shelves on here). Unlike Natalie.))After closing the closet door, Natalie walked back over to her bag. On her way, she spotted a glimpse of Summer's notes. "Wow," she reacted. "So colorful!"
(( I'm not super organized but I'm also not super disorganized. I guess I'm in between the two.))
Summer looked up after hearing her sister's voice to see her sister looking at her notes. "Thanks," Summer replied. "It's nothing special really, just my notes from math class."

((I just realized it sounded like I contradicted myself, saying I wasn't very neat but was very organized. xD I have difficulties forcing myself to clean my room and such, but, particularly with my school things, I love color-coding and sorting.))"Well, you take some awesome notes." Natalie giggled. "I'm not very fast at note-taking. Do you think that'll be a problem in eighth grade here?"
(( I didn't notice that until you pointed it out.))
"Thanks," Summer replied. Even before she started attending Blue Lake Academy she was a brilliant note taker. By the end of the year her notes consisted of multiple shades of all of the colors of the rainbow. Seeing all of the beautiful colors filled her with so much joy because it proved that she learned a lot of new things. "Depends on the teacher and the class."
