Hello from the Northeast US. I started with Mentzer (BECMI) and find it fascinating to learn about so much of the "behind the scenes" at TSR. To me they were the makers of D&D and DL; who knew it was basically a couple of people working out of a garage at the time!?

BECMI?

[B]asic, [E]xpert, [C]ompanion, [M]aster, [I]mmortal; the five boxed-set version of D&D that was being published when I came up.
The project was directed by Frank Mentzer and is, in my opinion, the only of the ten editions of D&D that actually taught people how to play/run/write the game.

Been enjoying the Di&D podcasts on my walk to and from work, so delighted to have an opportunity to link it another pastime, reading.
Just waiting for the next book to arrive.
Been gaming, predominately as GM, for most of my life having cut my teeth on the Mentzer red box D&D; rescued it from my dad's cupboard, when he had purchased it but never played. Never looked back.

Hello from Ontario! Been listening since you advertised the first ep on the angry gm, and am excited to read along. Caught the GM bug early making adventures with Heroquest for any family or friends who would play with me. My first experience with d&d was finding an old dusty copy of keep on the borderlands in my parent's basement.

Hello from the Philippines! I've only been playing tabletop for about 3 years now, and stumbled upon Angry's blog when I wanted to learn how to DM.

Since then, I have been eating up the content both Angry and Fiddleback serve (I miss the Mad Adventurer's Society quite a bit).

Hello, also from Virginia. I kept meaning to sign up for Goodreads while people were reading Empire of Imagination (I tried and I'm happy to learn that having to slog through it was not just my imagination). I've been enjoying the podcast.

Hi, I'm in West Yorkshire and I'm new to this book club malarkey. RPGer (fan of D&DI, Angry GM and GMs Word of the Week, which is QI for gamers) and also an Early Musician.
I eventually received the first book from amazon about 3 hours after listening to the D&DI episode reviewing it, I don't think I'll bother reading it now. the Golem and the Djinn, however, nice.
