My personal favourite character from this entire series was Kaltain Rompier (for reasons) and I am curious if I'm the only one that thinks this? I am genuinely curious about this so please reply!

this question is so hard!!!!! its probally Aedion and Dorian. i love dorian. Hes my little smol bean. i love that hes so so kind and he will be the best at being king. i love Aedion because i dont know. i just like him

Such a difficult question indeed !
As a male character I would say Fenrys, I liked his bestial behaviour and I really hope we will get to know him more on the next book.
As a female character I guess I would say Lyssandra. Her gift is stunning, I wish I could be a shape-shifter ! Plus she is very loyal and strong.

mmm, I think I love Manon the most.

Same! Kaltain was such a great character and so many people disliked her because of her being an 'antagonists' (sort of???) in book 1. She changed throughout the series and it was great to see her show up in the later books. I was so excited that she was brought back because I loved books 1-3, and from then on the entire plot changed; it was such a breath of fresh air to see her (especially since I preferred the path the first two books were taking). She deserved better in the end.

Whoops. So to answer your question (properly), I do really like Kaltain which is why I'd definitely say (since I'm indecisive!) Kaltain/Asterin/Renia were my faves.

For males, I'd say Rolfe. Don't ask, because idk why either. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Manon is my favorite!! Lysandra and Elide are both close 2nd.

Oh my god... I love Manon so much. Manon, Elide and Yrene are all the same level for second place. Manon is my favourite character perspective because she is so interesting in the way she thinks and acts.

Don't feel that close to the characters in the later books of this series unfortunately :/
But I do like Aelin, she is bad-ass and cunning even though she has her flaws.
But I also like Manon a lot, she is a very interesting character.
And totally agree with Kaltain being a very cool and interesting character to watch grow through the books.

Hell yea im on Lorcan's side wherever that is just because of his personality and character. Mainly because while everyone is siding with everyone he is unpredictable, inescapable, and overall the deadliest one( Just my thoughts. Ill argue anyone about this though).

I agree, the characters are harder to connect with as the series goes on. Also I love how the characters show flaws within their character, I am sick of reading about characters who are perfect and everybody loves them which there are definitely less of within young adult than there was middle grade.
I'm glad others feel the same way about Kaltain!

I agree! I love majority of her female characters and Elide is one of my favourites!

My favourite characters (yes there are two of them...) in this series have to be Dorian and Chaol. Their friendship is beautiful! I just love how much they care about each other... (SPOILERS) They wouldn't be who they are without each other. Dorian got the Valg collar off when he believed that Chaol had been killed... *cries* *sobs* *dies from to much love in my heart*and Chaol finds that Dorian is the reason he wants to live. He finds purpose in protecting his brother/king, and realizes that he doesn't love anyone but Dorian. I LOVE THESE TWO!

It really is, as you can tell, I love Dorian and he is a cinnamon roll (He is my profile picture ;P) and it was so unfortunate to have to sit through all of the changes that his character went through.

I don't really think that the changes in Dorians character happend because of Sarah J Maas went into full ACOTAR writing style or were bad. It was quite clear that his character would go through some big changes after what happend in the previous book, when his Father killed Sorscha. For me it made sense that he was different form the Dorian we knew from the books before. I still liked him.

And to answer the original Question: I really can't decide who my favorite Character is. Their are all diffrent and interesting. I always love reading the passages writen from Manons perspective because she has a diffrent view on the Events. I also love Aelin. But also Lysandra whos just an amazing character and who has an amazing gift. I mean the only characters I really don't like are Erwan and Maeve and that is just for the obvious reason that they are really bad People.

I don't know why but it's Rowan!

There is always room for character change in the series and I think SJM writes it really well - I'd hate to see a character stay stagnant throughout the entire series so I'm glad Dorian has adapted to his new situation and his new mentality.

I would definitely say Manon for the girl characters and Dorian for the boy characters!

I don't know each character is different and has his own qualities and I love them all and I don't want anything bad happen to them.

But Manon is amazing

Dorian would be my fav, he can either be a smog child with lots of emotions or the devil incarnate

I love Asterin most, I was just soooo sad when she died.

Hella late to this party, but Manon Blackbeak is far and away my favorite character. She's coded as gay and I feel the vibes between her and Petrah, but SJM be ignoring it. Queen Manon forever! (no spoilers, on book 5)
