When did you begin to suspect the Walcotts were part of the scams? Did you ever think that Mrs. Walcott and her husband, Oliver, were one and the same?

I guessed early on it was going to be them but I only realised it was just one Walcott when he was dressed as a woman at the end. At least I got it before Sarah did:)

I was immediately suspicious of the Walcotts because all those men couldn’t have traipsed through there without their complicity. As soon as their neighbor, Edna Stone, mentioned that the previous owner of the house left without a word, I just knew what they’d done to him.

It slowly dawned on me that there was only one Walcott when they were never seen together and Sarah noticed Mrs. Walcott wore a wig. I just couldn’t figure out was the person male or female.

I also figured out the Walcott's scam and guessed that Mr. and Mrs. Walcott were one and the same early on. Again, it was because they were never seen together in the same place.

This was one of those rare times I had guessed everything correctly early on!

I knew something was going on in that house that included the Walcotts and their tenants. I never put it together that Mr. and Mrs. Walcott were the same person until about two pages before Sarah figured it out.

Were you shocked or did you have an, “Oh, of course” kind of moment?

That's a good way of putting it Jonetta. Mine was an "of course" moment>)

I was just thinking that I should have figured it out a lot earlier. When Mrs. Walcott opened the door wearing a dust cap instead of her usual wig, I started asking myself why she wore a wig. Then it popped into my head that it was probably a man (Mr. Walcott) dressing as his wife.

I had that same, thought Robin.

I thought there were two men in the house at first, noticing the description of Mrs. Walcott as tall and with a masculine figure.

I did figure that there were more than one buried in the basement, including the previous owner.

Ok I admit I didn't know Mr and Mrs were one and the same. I just assumed you could tell. Makeup and acting aside, there should have been a "She looks like a man" thought. Or maybe I missed reading that sentence. I do that sometimes. Skip a paragraph here and there LOL.
