Three Empires discussion

Spark sat on her throne, swinging her feet. Why it was so high up, she had no idea.

Mordechai walked in with two guards beside him, "You can leave now," he said to the guards. They left. "Hello your highness, I'm hear to send a message to you from Queen 2."

“You mean deliver, not send, and Queen of Empire 2, not Queen 2,” She said, looking down on him. “Who even are you?”

He rolled his eyes, "Ok I get it. I'm a guard for the Queen of Empire 2."

“Well I know that, duhhh,” she said, rolling her eyes. “What is your name?”

"I'm Mordechai."

“Coolio,” She said, hopping down from her throne. “What’s your message?”

"She said she needs sugar."

“Oh wow,” Spark said, examining her nails. ‘“Come with me.”

Mordy followed the Queen, "Where are we going?"

“Kitchen,” She said, running around a corner. She pulled her dark hair out of its elaborate hairdo and threw the pins on the floor.

He looked at the pins on the floor, "Unbelievable." They made it to the kitchen, "So sugar isn't some secret code? It's actually sugar?"

“Beats me,” she shrugged. “And what is so unbelievable?”

"Nothing," he looked around the kitchen. "So I just take the sugar and give it to her." He laughed.

“I guess,” she said. “I don’t know of any codes.”

"Alright," he waited for the sugar.

She walked through the kitchen. One of the chefs stepped in her way. “Ma’am, what would you like?” She pushed him out of the way politely and shook her head. Digging through the shelves, she finally found a bag of sugar. “Found it!”

"Do I take the whole bag?"

“I don’t know. Might as well,” She shrugged again. “And I do want to know — what was so unbelievable back there?”

"I that ought it was unbelievable that you just dropped the pins on the floor." He took the bag.

“Well, What was I supposed to do with them?” She asked incredulously.

"Oh I don't know. Put them where they belong?"

“Which is where?” She said, narrowing her eyes and tilting her head.

"Your dresser? Jewelry box? I don't know where you put them. You should."

“Well, I don’t,” She said, walking back through the corridors. She turned around a corner and found herself in a completely new part of the palace. “We’re lost,” she told him.

He scoffed, "Lost? This is your palace!"

“Sorry. I don’t really walk down here a lot,” she said, giving him an apologetic look.

"You don't? Why?"

“I don’t know.” She said. She actually had no idea.

"I know my Queens palace inside out. If this is similar then we are near the door that leads to the basement." He looked around, "Which means the way to your throne would be over there." He pointed to the right hallway.

“Right. Thanks,” she said, smiling at him and heading down the hallway he pointed to.

He shrugged, "Wouldn't want to be stuck with a grumpy guard." He walked with her to her throne.

“So . . .” She said, climbing back into her huge throne.

He laughed at the way she looked, "Why is your throne so big?"

“I have no idea. It is ridiculous,” she said, shaking her head.

"Why don't you ask for a smaller one?"

“I don’t know, am I allowed to do that?”

"You are the Queen of the 2nd Empire. You can do whatever you want."

“Right.” She called over a guard. “I need a smaller seat thingy,” she told him, waving her hand at her throne.

"A smaller throne. Have a couple feet lower. She can barely reach the floor." The guard nodded.

She smiled. “Thanks.”

"Well you're the Queen. You deserve everything."

“Not all queens deserve everything,” she said bitterly.

He shrugged, "True. But you seem like the kind of Queen that does."

“Oh, how nice,” she said, smiling widely. Most people said she was totally un-queenlike.

He smiled, "I should go now. Have sugar to give to my Queen."

“Right.” She nodded. “Thanks!”

He waved, "See you later Queen of Empire 3!"

“Sure!” She smiled as he left.
