What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

Hi all. I'm desperately trying to find a book I read in the last 10 years.

Storyline begins with a couple getting caught in a traffic jam caused by an ambulance in the road ahead. They take a side road and come across a little cottage which the female character (possibly called Gilly?) decides she wants to investigate.

The couple buy the cottage and move into a caravan beside it while necessary building work is going on. There is a lot of water on the floor of the cottage that needs to be drained. There is a rock at the front of the house to which she feels a connection.

She finds a ring (i think) buried near the cottage.

She becomes friends with a nearby elderly male neighbour. Her husband isn't happy about the friendship.

She has always had nightmares and I can't remember if they get worse/better in the caravan!

There is a connection to the Cromwell and Roundheads era.

The book ultimately is about reincarnation.

I'd love to read it again so if anyone recognises the story, please help!
