The lack of emails is making me feel so deprived.
I’m still not feeling it’s Martin even though Simon has considered it being him. Mainly because Blue told Simon he thinks he knows who he is as soon as he feels like he does. Whereas when Marin found out, he blackmailed Simon because he fancied Abby. Why then tell him via email from Blue that he knows who he is now? It just doesn’t add up to me. I also don’t think he would have kept it up for so long if it was a joke and surely it can’t be a joke with all that emotion in the emails? Like they just didn’t seem fake. He also probably wouldn’t have dropped Blue hints when he exposed Simon.
What they did to Leah was evil and I completely understand her frustration and upset.
Although I still thought the drunk night out was hilarious and brilliant, even though Leah being left out was in the background (so so mean). It was a great scene.
Abby being annoyed on the other hand really irritated me. All Simon did was drop hints that she should maybe go out with Martin and he didn’t do a very good job at it – maybe he mentioned Martin twice? He didn’t control and manipulate who she should date? He was being blackmailed! Someone was going to expose him being gay when coming out should be his decision alone! So Leah’s annoyance I get, but not Abby’s. Hers is just annoying.
For the book in general, I love the way the author writes her character interactions. The conversation between Simon and his parents was beautiful.
YAY! They’re back! I need more Blue and Simon emails please!
I'm feeling deprived.
