This is the story of Mina Grime, a clumsy teenage who likes to keep out of the spotlight. When she saves a popular kid (and her crush) from a serious accident while on a field trip, she is forced into the spotlight --- and from there things get a bit crazy. It turns out that Mina's family is not the Grimes, but the Grimm's and now a curse is trying to claim her as it's victim.

The premise of this story is interesting, but it took a while to get to the unveiling of the curse. Mina is a like=able heroine as is her best friend Nan, but I didn't particularly care for her crush. I would say that the story skews to the younger side of YA. It's an easy read and I might continue with the series if I need it for reading challenges.
