Sarah sat down at the table in the corner. She had been training people all day, and her shift was finally over.
Sol walked into the cafeteria. She couldn’t wait to get some food and sit down and work on her plans.
Sarah had low-key been keeping tabs on everyone, and she looked up as Sol walked into the room.
“Hi!” She said, waving. “Who are you?” Without invitation she grabbed a muffin and sat down across from the girl.
Sarah, looked up, surprised. “Me? I’m Sarah. And you’re.....Sal? No, Sol. Right?” She said, racking her brain.
“Are the muffins any good?” She asked curiously
“Yeah,” she said. She pulled her drawings and calculations out of the bag and set it down on the ground while spreading the papers out on the table. “Do you know —“ she pointed to the first drawing. “How would a building like this be possible? With the structure, and the dimensions — it just doesn’t make sense.”
"Oh. No, I actually have no idea! I'm a guard, so it's not my speciality" she said with a small smile. "But it doesnt make sense..."
She studied the design for a moment. She was supposed to change one thing to make the structure possible, but there were just too many things wrong . . . “Ooh!” Soul stood up suddenly. “Who is that?”
“Who’s who? I know everyone here.....” she said, looking around, confused.
“That guy, over there . .” She pointed at him. Then she abruptly sat back down and looked over her measurements. She had to have gotten something wrong here.
“Oh. That’s Sage” Sarah said to her. She seemed really focused on her measurements, so she wasn’t sure if Sol was paying attention.
((Gtg bye))Sol looked up. “Sage? Don’t know him.” She studied the building and then threw her hands in the air. “I DID IT. IT IS DONE!” She said dramatically. She had used the wrong unit, it was so obvious. She laughed at herself and stood up to retrieve the pencil she had thrown.
“What did you change?” She asked curiously, looking over the plans. It looked right now, but Sarah was still confused. This was why she didn’t do this stuff.
“See here,” She said, pointing towards the calculations, and then towards the building design, “the unit was feet, but I thought it was yards.” She looked back at that guy, Sage, and saw him watching them. “Hi!” She called over to him.
"Oh. That makes sense" she said, looking at it again. Sarah gave him a small wave before looking abck at the paper. "What's this for anyways?"
“A test, basically,” she said, studying the design again and chewing on the eraser of her pencil. “It’s hard.”
"Oh. That makes sense. I'm sure you'll do great though!" she said with a smile.
“Thanks!” She said. “I don’t know though, if I keep messing up the units, I’ll never get through, but I’ll think optimistically!” She smiled.
“You’ll do great.” She said again. “You seem really smart, Idont think I could ever do that!” Sarah laughed.
“Thanks!” She said brightly again. “No use, it’s too loud in here to concentrate anyways.” She shoved the papers back into her bag.
“That’s true!” She said, leaning back into her chair with a sigh.
“Me? I’m Sarah” she said, surprised. Nobody ever asked her anything.
“Me? No, nobody takes the time to know me.” She smiled “you?”
She winced. “I’ve been a little preocupied with my work to focus on that”
Sage was getting tired of this and decided to go and ask them about what they were doing. He got up and walked over to them."Hi." he said.
“Oh hi! She said you’re Sage. So hi Sage!” Sol smiled brightly at him. “Hey! We all have s names! Sol, Sage, Sarah!”
“Well then, what do you do Sage?” Sarah asked, leaning back in her chair.
“You train younger people? Really? Then why haven’t I seen you before?” She said suspiciously
"Huh? No, i train as in i train in the training, Sir!" he said, the sarcasm in the 'Sir' would have killed a mouse.
